  1. Good to hear about the berries! And 0.01” would officially count towards the precip tally.
  2. Already getting some filtered sunshine through the clouds so there might be some breakage in the marine layer. If this is the case, it’s probably going to end up a little bit warmer than forecast. Up to 57F.
  3. FWIW, tomorrow could bust for the Euro too. NWS calls for a high of only 68 tomorrow for SEA. Their forecast looks on point for today.
  4. Noticed this so I’m gonna guess a couple degrees cooler. Yesterday ended up being a below average day and a high of only 74. I’m guessing 71-72F today.
  5. Looks like a search warrant has been obtained and investigators are looking into a house where they believed may have started the Red Apple Fire. Possibly for an illegal burn. Such a shame that we’ll never learn.
  6. Guess it didn’t really mean much considering it stuck there most of the night? Currently a cool 56F at home and still 55F at SEA.
  7. Red Apple Fire in Chelan County as of 8:00pm. - 9,000 acres -10% contained - 1500 residents and businesses threatened under some level of evacuation notifications. Still growing quite rapidly.
  8. Appears the cause of these brush fires is a sparking semi-truck. It’s been so dry it doesn’t take much.
  9. SEA have not peaked yet. 79F is average for last few days of July.
  10. Eh? It’s really hard to tell especially when it comes to the marine layers. Yesterday at 1pm SEA was at 68F and it would appears the area would have a good shot at a below average day. Then the layer burned off and ended up at 81F. It’s just extremely difficult to tell when you have marine influence involved and how fast it’ll burn.
  11. Interesting for you to say low 80s won’t verify considering the period you just mentioned average about 80F for SEA. Are you suggesting we’ll be below average?
  12. So I found out T doesn’t count as official tally. Only 0.01” and above.
  13. Red Apple Fire: - Now 7,000 acres - 1000+ homes under evacuation orders. - about 200 personnel fighting the fire.
  14. Rain streak and 70+ streak in jeopardy for Friday. Friday is going to feel downright chilly!
  15. Research and scientific data have proven that the earth have been warming since 1880. The years 2016 and 2020 have both tied the record for warmest record on earth since 1880. Including 19 of the warmest years have occurred since 2000. Sure, you can claim cylindrical, but the trend is clear and precise with a warming planet.
  16. Both SEA and BFI are 63F at 1pm. But at this time yesterday it was a lot different. BFI is running -7F cooler today while SEA is -3F at this time. Interestingly, despite running behind SEA reached a high of 81 yesterday while BFI at 82. Probably going to be the same today.
  17. Red Apple Fire in Chelan County: - started before 7pm on July 13 -Level 3 evac -230+ homes and orchards threatened -1000 acres and rapidly growing what’s most concerning is how fast this fire is spreading. I suspect the current level 3 map shown below will expand by morning.
  18. Fires and smoke imagery up and down the west coast. Have to say VERY fortunate regions west of the Cascades have been spared so far. We’ll have to see how long this will last.
  19. July is living up to its reputation as being the driest and warmest month.
  20. 79 now, I like SEA's chances of hitting 80 today.
  21. Doesn't take much to warm up at SEA while NB plateau sooner. Up to 77 at SEA.
  22. Last rainfall was June 14 so we’re now a month in with no measurable rainfall. Forget about anything respectable.
