CentralNebWeather
Our High School track team just left for a noon track meet in Hastings today. 40 degrees with cloudy skies, occasional showers, and winds gusting to 30 MPH as of 9:30 AM. I knew there was a reason that I don't coach a spring sport. Maybe temps make it to the low 50's later this afternoon, who knows. Not a fun weather day for coaches, athletes, workers or fans. 1
Hawkeye
The extended forecast is looking pretty ugly. Last night's Euro had all 30s and 40s for the next ten days. Tom
We had some interesting wx late afternoon yesterday and noticed a Severe Thunderstorm warning was issued for our W/SW burbs as a very strong squall popped up and produced 70+mph winds. I don't think I've ever seen this before from a non-lightning producing storm cell and one that produced snow/graupel. The "GL's Glacier" has held together through the ups/downs this month and looking ahead it is positioned quite well to hold on through the end of this month. I would not be surprised to see places up there to still have snow OTG into mid April.
westMJim
The official high at Grand Rapids yesterday was 46. Yesterdays rain changed to snow late last night and officially at GRR a reported 0.2" fell so now for the season Grand Rapids is now at 70.1" The official overnight low at GRR was 30 and that is the current temperature. Here in MBY after midnight there was at least a half inch of snow fall and of that around 0.2" in now on the ground mostly on the grass and roof tops. This next week looks to have some big ups and downs with a cold start a big warm up and then another cool down rather typical for late March and the start of April.
