Nautical twilight becomes noticeable here by ~ 440AM in June. Pushing that 1hr earlier would be the height of insanity, IMO.

On the right morning near the Summer solstice you can see the first hints of orange around 3:20 or so. 48°N will do that to you 🙃

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

My wife is from Montana but grew up in Oregon.  They would frequently do weekend trips back to the ranch to see the grandparents.  They would leave after her parents got off work and drive through the night.  She said one trip in June they hit Lookout Pass right around midnight, and they could see the very last light of sunset and the very first light of sunrise at the same time.   Pretty crazy to think about for the lower 48.

Up here in Bellingham the sky still has a bit of a glow at 11-11:30.  I have no idea how early the first light of the morning starts to show, I'm always zonked then.

Overall I agree with the assessment that this March will likely be a little wet and a little cool, but not to much of either. We can get significant snow here in March, and that seems very unlikely this month. Just fairly consistent seasonable systems.

Looks like a decent storm parade coming up... usually keeps things mixed and not too cold despite being generally wet.    I actually prefer that pattern in March.   Its good for mountain snow pack and the spring green up at the same time.

Overall it’s pretty pedestrian by March standards.

26°F here. 32°F at SeaTac.

May be the last freeze of the season for the airport, though tomorrow will be close, around 33-35°F. A small overperformance would add another day. Plenty of Spring left though so not counting out late month into April. Hell, maybe we go full out 1954 and see 20s in May ;)

Down to 25°F here with a dewpoint of 24°F. Overperforming on low temperatures by a few degrees. It seems we decoupled earlier and deeper than expected... Really taking advantage of that clear sky. Let's see if I can pull out a 23 or a 22 tonight! At any rate I was expecting 26 or 27 so this is nice

27 here this morning. Pretty impressive considering the coldest low I’ve recorded in the month of March was 26 degrees on 3/5/19. Coldest March low in 3 years here.

22nd freeze of the cold season…which is right about average. Could see a couple more freezes in the final 1/3 of March…some years we get our final freezes in late March other years late February-early March.

Winter's last breath? There are differing numbers but I think the 2-4 inches in NE KY Euro is showing could be closer to reality. Generally southeast section of the state has been getting more snow than my part of the area. A good chance Ashland doesn't see the higher end of the spectrum on snowfall as that hasn't been the case so far in previous storms. I bet the higher elevations and less populated towns get around 8" or over.
