Moderate to heavy snow has been falling for the last few hours.  This mornings snow had a lot of moisture but the snow this evening is dry and blowing around.  Currently have 5 inches on the ground with a few more to come.

I'll borrow @OmahaSnowFan's turbo snowblower and see if we can get you into double digits! 😁

7 inches on the ground with heavy snow falling.  I got to get out and enjoy it for awhile, very peaceful the wind has tapered off.

This system really over achieved for your area bud!  I was up earlier and watched a radar loop and was thinking about how much your enjoying the snow.  Did you get double digits?  Congrats to all of you in the KC area and nearby.  Prob the last significant snow of the season as we turn the page to severe wx season!

Got right at 9 inches. Great storm, the snowfall rates were way higher than I was expecting last night.  It was very enjoyable to watch come down.

Looks like I will finish with 26 inches for the season amazingly 25 inches fell in Feb-March 10th.

That’s what a backloaded season will look like!  We only going 0.6” at ORD thru midnight and sitting at 32.1” for the season.  Just about 25” fell since the early days of JAN, but a lot more just south of here near Midway airport and closer to 35” due to some lake effect and obviously the southern storm tracks in FEB.

They have a snow squall warning in ND/MN. I'm mobile so I can't post the details easily...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the first one to ever be issued in the Red River Valley. I was gonna say the first one FGF ever issued, but I think they've issued one in the Devils Lake basin before.

Congrats on another good snow down in Missouri.  I was watching the radar loop late last night and the heavy band just kept training over you (Clinton).  I figured your total would be pretty high.  You've had quite the second half of winter.  Through mid-winter I had 16" and you had 0" I think.  Now you may end up with a higher season total.

Spring will be on hold for a day or two :)

That's about half of my total snowfall up to this point in one March snow.

@Tom

WOW! Great call on the first half of March coming in like a lion, (and quite wintry) few days late but it showed up. Great run here in KC on (2) winter events in the first 10 days. Great moisture too, we needed it.

Yesterday was interesting in KC, woke up at 5am to everything coated with snow, radar looked healthy to my west. However, the snow never really got heavy and as the day wore on, the accumulations were slow. 21 degrees most of the day, the snow accumulated on all paved surfaces earlier in the day and by 10:30, it had melted everywhere. The road temps had warmed up to 33-37, even with a 21 degree air temperature.  The ole March sun angle played a huge role for period of time yesterday. Once 4:00 pm hit, the sun angle went down and the snow immediately started accumulating again. Then, the beautiful stationary band formed right over the city around 6:30 pm, central and south side saw the most. I finished with 3.6 inches of snow but I think it snowed 6 inches worth. KCI only came in at 2.6 inches. I have a total of 21.3 inches for mby this winter season which is officially above average for the winter.

The GFS, once again for KC, called this storm right. We have had 7 winter events in KC, the GFS has pegged 5 of them this season, not too bad.

Beautiful winter scene yet again here in KC. I love it, but, I'm ready for some spring weather to return.

Clinton, you lucky dogggg...I saw radar last night and said, jack pot!!!

Less snow here, but the pressure surge riding down the Appalachians should make for some nice snowglobe conditions tomorrow. ☃️

I'm at work, but I think this region scored an inch or so. First real sticking snow in about a month for me. Morning drive was a skating rink! Just enough snow with temps in the 20's to allow the grassy areas to look like winter is back. Hoping this is winter's last gasp and really looking forward to next week's warmer temps again.

Congrats buddy on reeling in another storm! Way to top off your season. Especially with how warm you had it last weekend.

Winds got crazy all of a sudden. Still feels almost warm but I guess the temp will sharply drop as we get later into the evening.

Are ya ready for 60s next week!!? Any snow we got today will be history by early next week. Alittle disturbance on Sunday might trigger  more light snow on and then after that, bring out those "Bermuda Shorts."

Back where my folks are at in the Memphis area is currently getting slammed. There's a decent chance MEM ends up with more snow for season than LNK after this storm. I've seen accumulating snow the first week of March there, but not quite this late.

Mild evening here, mid-50s with lowering clouds and a noticeable S/SE breeze.

Front should blast through late tonight into tomorrow morning. Then the fun starts.

34 and sleet. I think some flakes mixed in but not sticking. Could definitely hear something graupel like falling.

It was almost 60 at 6:30.

A thin layer of sleet can serve as an excellent foundation for future snow accumulations if ground temps are warm. It doesn’t melt or sublimate as easily as snow.

If you’re sleet now then you’ll probably changeover to all snow within the next hour.

Yes blowing snow, 100% now. Not big flakes yet, this is just the beginning it looks like.
