That's about half of my total snowfall up to this point in one March snow.

WOW! Great call on the first half of March coming in like a lion, (and quite wintry) few days late but it showed up. Great run here in KC on (2) winter events in the first 10 days. Great moisture too, we needed it. 

Yesterday was interesting in KC, woke up at 5am to everything coated with snow, radar looked healthy to my west. However, the snow never really got heavy and as the day wore on, the accumulations were slow. 21 degrees most of the day, the snow accumulated on all paved surfaces earlier in the day and by 10:30, it had melted everywhere. The road temps had warmed up to 33-37, even with a 21 degree air temperature.  The ole March sun angle played a huge role for period of time yesterday. Once 4:00 pm hit, the sun angle went down and the snow immediately started accumulating again. Then, the beautiful stationary band formed right over the city around 6:30 pm, central and south side saw the most. I finished with 3.6 inches of snow but I think it snowed 6 inches worth. KCI only came in at 2.6 inches. I have a total of 21.3 inches for mby this winter season which is officially above average for the winter.  

The GFS, once again for KC, called this storm right. We have had 7 winter events in KC, the GFS has pegged 5 of them this season, not too bad. 

Beautiful winter scene yet again here in KC. I love it, but, I'm ready for some spring weather to return.

About 1.5 for me. more than I expected. Everything is covered and should be through Saturday. Might be the last grasp of winter so I'll enjoy it until warmer weather arrives.

Snowfall totals from around the area, I found myself in the perfect spot.  The March sun is already going to work on the roads and current temp is 29.

Less snow here, but the pressure surge riding down the Appalachians should make for some nice snowglobe conditions tomorrow.

I'm at work, but I think this region scored an inch or so. First real sticking snow in about a month for me. Morning drive was a skating rink! Just enough snow with temps in the 20's to allow the grassy areas to look like winter is back. Hoping this is winter's last gasp and really looking forward to next week's warmer temps again.

Congrats buddy on reeling in another storm! Way to top off your season. Especially with how warm you had it last weekend.

Front just dropped 3/4” inch of snow in about 15 minutes.  Impressive rates.  3” an hour probably.

Huntsville, AL is currently 67 degrees, but under a winter storm warning for tonight for 1-3" of snow. That's going to be quite the shock down there!

Winds got crazy all of a sudden. Still feels almost warm but I guess the temp will sharply drop as we get later into the evening.

Heavy snow right now in Paducah, KY.  On our way to the smokies where they could see 4-6”.

Are ya ready for 60s next week!!? Any snow we got today will be history by early next week. Alittle disturbance on Sunday might trigger  more light snow on and then after that, bring out those "Bermuda Shorts."

Back where my folks are at in the Memphis area is currently getting slammed. There's a decent chance MEM ends up with more snow for season than LNK after this storm. I've seen accumulating snow the first week of March there, but not quite this late.

Mild evening here, mid-50s with lowering clouds and a noticeable S/SE breeze.

Front should blast through late tonight into tomorrow morning. Then the fun starts.

34 and sleet. I think some flakes mixed in but not sticking. Could definitely hear something graupel like falling.

It was almost 60 at 6:30.

A thin layer of sleet can serve as an excellent foundation for future snow accumulations if ground temps are warm. It doesn’t melt or sublimate as easily as snow.

If you’re sleet now then you’ll probably changeover to all snow within the next hour.

Yes blowing snow, 100% now. Not big flakes yet, this is just the beginning it looks like.

My snow has fallen and is largely melting away already. Good cooldown. Think I was like 31-15 for temps. Made a great all-snow storm in March. A neat treat after the disappointing winters/early springs from 2015-2021.

Impressive to have highs in the 20's in March. I know it's a slightly different climate but I used to live on the slopes of the cascades and we wouldn't have many sub freezing highs in early Spring. That would usually happen in January.

Windy too at times, it doesn't take very long outside to really feel it.

Updated signature to show today's storm, 4.8" I measured. Total is just over 16" for the winter.

That was accomplished with practically none in December. Probably would be over 2 feet if some happened before Christmas.

Me too amigo. I am ready for Spring as well, especially now that the time went 1 hour ahead. Also, next weeks Spring-like temps will definitely switch the knob on me to Spring-mode.

Very nice storm here. Went from mid-50s and rain to upper 20s with episodic blizzard conditions in less than 5 hours.

Took some videos which I’ll update later.
