bud2380
I’m not sure I can recall a worse spring weather wise. My grass is still not needing mowed. Trees don’t have much of any leaves yet. We’ve pretty much not had back to back nice days all spring. It’s been windy as hell. I’m about ready to move south. And no end in sight. Long range shows more of the same. At least we’re getting plenty of much needed rain though. Just would love to get some consistently nice weather for a change.

I went for a run this morning and i almost cried because it was absolutely freezing. It’s just cold 5 days a week and like 60 on the ‘warm’ days. I might go down there with you if you do lol That said, on the one “warm” day this past weekend, I took some pretty cool pictures of the clouds after the storms came through at an abandoned mansion we found in the middle of nowhere.

Tom
I know the feeling you guys are experiencing out east. It's such a dreadful feeling when you lack the sunshine and warmth. You basically are not motivated to do anything but stay indoors bc you can't really go out and enjoy nature. Humans need that all important vitamin D from the sun. I'm a firm believer in the natural supplementation that mother earth provides. I'd be going nuts if I was still back home. Very grateful to be out here in the PHX valley. Well, we didn't achieve the 100F mark yesterday due to high cirrus clouds and some haze from the wild fires that blew in from the north. The avg date for the 1st 100F is May 2nd and I think after this weekend into next week, it's going to late bc the forecast calls for low/mid 90's.
westMJim
Yesterday saw record snowfall amount and some of the coldest maximums for any April 26 in west Michigan. The official high at Grand Rapids and Lansing was 45 that was the 6th coldest reading for the date at both locations. At Muskegon the official high was 43 and that was the 4th coldest maximum for the date and at Holland their official high of 42 was their 2nd coldest maximum for the date. At Grand Rapids and Muskegon there trace of snow that fell was tied the record for the most for the date. and at Lansing their trace of snow fall was a tie for 2nd most. The overnight low looks to be 30 at Grand Rapids, 33 at Lansing and 31 at Muskegon. The overnight low here at my house was 30 and at this time with partly skies the current temperature here is 31. Today will be yet another well below average with highs in the mid 40's.

All the lakes here are pretty much man made, except for some of the lakes up in the mountains. The lakes are primarily reservoirs that hold a lot of the fresh water that gets filled up from the spring snow melt up in the Rockies. 1

bud2380
Finally places in Nebraska are going to get some much needed drought relief. This won't end the drought of course, but will definitely help make a difference. I see part of NW North Dakota is in extreme drought. I would think the 2 to 4 feet of snow they just got will eat away at that shortly.
