Just crazy.

And I assume that issue does not exist for your company in Bellevue.

Its pretty hard for someone to claim its the same everywhere when the city just across a bridge manages to maintain basic services for its residents and is not covered in graffiti and homeless encampments.    It comes down to the will of the voters.  Seattle had to learn the hard way and now has to climb out of a huge hole they dug for themselves with their ultra-liberal BS.    Like I said before... Seattle is a poster child for failed liberalism.

Bellevue, Kent, Redmond etc... we can dispatch on almost everything without question.

The yawn is more about your selective outrage. A rationally-minded individual would be able to see both with exceptional clarity. You have shown consistently that you cannot. The acceptance of completely dishonest narratives and beyond-tacit approval of extremist messaging in protests following Ferguson go well beyond your convenient attempts at marginalization.

I don't know wtf you are talking about.  I'm not sure when the last time there was a liberal terrorist attack was (maybe the DC baseball shooting?) but I'm pretty sure it was before I even knew about this forum.  How was I supposed to be outraged?

The fact of the matter is that for decades, the vast majority of yhe home-grown terrorism has been coming from the extreme right.  Read the Wikipedia article on Timothy McVeigh and I'm pretty sure you'd be describing 30% of current conservatives.

Far right terrorism is nothing new, but their ideology being pushed by influential people like that Lt governor, Tucker Carlson, and the former president is something that only recently has been happening.

You’re shifting the narrative now. Yes, there is more of a tendency for the angry white boy to go down this psychopathic rabbit hole. Probably helps that it ties directly to more of the “gun nut/muh rights” safe haven on the right. That much is pretty clear.

Where you go off the rails is with your own treasure trove of false equivalency which goes beyond Dallas. I’m sure your arbitrary percentage of conservatives could be applied to leftists (yay division!!!) who would love for a CHAZ/CHOP utopia of lawlessness and street justice to become the rule.

I’ll give you the fact that you do have to do just LITTLE more in the way of critical thinking to make a connection between what were pretty mainstream calls and successful efforts to defund police budgets and increases in homicides. Portland was sitting on 39 homicides through the end of April, a blistering record pace. Their Gun Violence Reduction Team was dissolved when the narrative was being effectively driven by what was, in part, extremist rhetoric. Were any of these mass shootings by individuals with true delusions of grandeur? No, but murder is murder in my book. And let’s not forget the murders tied directly to the race riots themselves, and yes, that includes lil’ Kyle.

Doesn't sound like this Buffalo shooting guy was far right. Really all over the place with his views.

At the time the 2nd amendment was made, I don't think we had the semi-automatic mass murder weapons that we have today. The main reason for having a right to bear arms was for personal safety and defense, assuming most people are sane. There are also arguments that they make it harder for a totalitarian government to take over, since in most totalitarian countries only the government and law enforcement has access to weapons.

Question for einstein

Assume that someone broke into your house overnight, but they had no intentions to steal anything or hurt anyone. Maybe they would just wake you up and tell you they needed food or money for their family. Would you consider that to be an intrusion or not?

It's the same thing with border security. Probably about 95% of the people that come here illegally are just coming to look for a better life, but we need security to protect ourselves from the 5% that do pose a threat.

I would say trying to burn down a U.S. Courthouse and holding a major downtown urban area hostage for the better part of a year is effectively terrorism, yes.

Was reading the hill and saw the following headline. “Buffalo shooting brings renewed calls for gun control and social media accountability.” Blah blah... How predictable. Snarky Goblins all fired up but that’s about it...

Yep.

Also according to some Democrats, protesting COVID mandates or parents disagreeing with what their public schools teach their kids is considered to be domestic terrorism.

Once again, his manifesto actually had statements condemning Fox News and he did not mention Tucker Carlson even once. And Carlson suggesting that the Democrats are using open borders to bring in people who will vote for them is not quite the same thing as saying that someone is trying to reduce White people from the population.

I'm assuming though that SnarkyGoblin must have me blocked.

A bit off the general political duels is this-

Concerns that UFOs have never-before-seen capabilities that can outmaneuver and outperform the US's most advanced military technology has prompted Congress to call UFO hearing.

Congressman Andre Carson, who will head the public hearing tomorrow, promised to dive into the national security risks posed by UFOs' potential presence.

Guess we’ll see if anything new is disclosed.  It’s long overdue.

How about the Laguna Hills church shooting this past Sunday? Was it even on the news up there? Then there's the NYC subway shooting about a month ago where the offender was black. I guess that these do not matter to the left since they did not involve white racism.

Regardless of what Carlson may say, we cannot be sure that the Buffalo attack was not at least partially motivated by leftist ideas being taught in schools such as America really began in 1619 to preserve slavery or that the only way to create an equitable society is to get rid of capitalism. Today 36% of millennials think that we should try communism. Let's ask one of those people locked in their apartments in Shanghai what they think of it. Even Bill Maher thinks the woke movement is crazy. He recently compared Biden's new Disinformation Board to the Ministry of Truth in Orwell's 1984. Bill Maher is definitely not a Trump fan.

Racial tensions began to increase in 2013, well before Donald Trump ever considered running. That was about the same time the BLM movement started. Today you can no longer watch sports or TV without being politicized. In fact Disney's ratings dropped 44 percent in the last year. Can anyone guess why?

One thing that I've noticed about California (and Arizona for that matter) is the wild variation in gas prices over a short distance. It might be $5.39 at one gas station then the next block over it's $6.19.

They're just getting started here. Karen Bass has done NOTHING to solve homelessness, so vote for Rick Caruso and things will be cleaned up starting Day One.

Caruso seems to be one of those few common-sense Democrats remaining today, somewhat like Joe Manchin.

I read today that $6/gallon national average is likely at some point this summer.

It’s already nearing $6.00 here. Really hurts.

It looks like Chicago and certain parts of the Northeast have caught up to here in terms of gas prices.

I get there's not much that can be done about oil companies gouging us, but certain state governments are being extremely tone deaf over this. There are plenty of taxes and carbon offset fees that can be waived to at least provide temporary relief. And here's California which is about to add to their already nation-high has tax.

We are going to have to wait until 2025 to feel relief. Or a deep recession, that could help lower prices too.

This is probably the worst news possible for Democrats... This was the "demographic destiny" they've been excited about for decades...

Hispanics are actually very religious and socially conservative. I don’t think the abortion issue will play as well with that demographic as Dems think.

Is it really a conspiracy theory? That's for you to decide. Biden actually said it himself.

Quote

“An unrelenting stream of immigration. Nonstop, nonstop. Folks like me who are Caucasian, of European descent, for the first time in 2017 we’ll be an absolute minority in the United States of America. Absolute minority. Fewer than 50 percent of the people in America from then and on will be white European stock. That’s not a bad thing. That’s a source of our strength”

Wow, absolute purge in the Idaho Republican primary. Their state government is about to get MUCH more conservative.
