I would say that 90% of the precip here today has been just hail, not a lot of rain at all, some thunder and 1 flash of lightning.

Rainfall amount for today from the Medford NWS station is 0.50. It stopped raining around 4pm and right now it's all sunny. Not rain in sight till next weekend but anything can happen by then lol

Pretty wild afternoon here with some very gusty winds, hail, and thunder.  Winds were strong enough to bring down a huge branch on our fence which caused some damage and another 3 inch diameter branch blew all the way the across the street.  Looking forward to the Tuesday night frost and significant cold snap after the brief warmup later in the week.  Looks like April will make up for the very boring March.

Our walk at work was timed just right, started hailing right when we got back into the building today…I think she was proud that I follow the weather so closely and kept her from getting pelted by solid precip!

Had to go purely by the look of the sky and what the movement of the clouds were…felt like I was a kid again before radar at your fingertips!

Looks like the GFS and ECMWF are both going for maybe 5 or 6 consecutive days with frost for some places with that majestic trough coming up.  This is what I had envisioned for this spring.  March really had me bummed, but better late than never!

Can't lie, it was pretty fun guestimating when the next cell would come by. I have a direct view out west, so I got to watch a cell pass by, then the sky clears for a bit as the next cell appears in the distance. Enjoyable activities this afternoon!

Euro looks pretty chilly after the mini heatwave Thursday. We may have a shot at a freezing low temp here…first in the month of April since 2011 if it happens.

Just noticed that parts of southern Oregon are hovering below 40%. Pretty dire down that way.

My brother was camping the last couple days up in the Rimrock lake/white pass area. He said there was a pretty decent amount of snow up there the last couple days.

12z GFS looks pretty nice to me. Get a couple of nice sunny days this week and then we get back into a troughy pattern to add to our spring snowpack. Looks chilly after this week.
