The southernmost point of the PNW is Mount Hood lately. Snowpack wise last two winters especially.

Looks like it just clips us here in Tacoma…which probably wouldn’t have heavy enough precip rates if I had to guess.

Eugene forecast has four consecutive highs solidly below 50.

2008 only managed three. Most recent instance I can find of four in a row in April is 1963.

Weather.com? Usually best to wait for the event to happen before digging into historical records but it seems unlikely they pull it off

The models seem insistent that somewhere between Seattle and Salem will see a major snow event tomorrow night.  Also a lot of other places with some snow being shown.

Basically snow chances tomorrow morning through Friday morning up here. Tuesday morning actually may be our best shot at decent accumulations, though Monday morning has potential to be huge if things break just right.

Nws has a snow advisory for the foothills above 2000’ through midday tomorrow (the Sunday morning system.). I think that’s a good call. We may get snow here, but I don’t see us hitting the 3” needed for advisory criteria.

Great timing with some good precipitation rates just before Monday sunrise. I think most places will overachieve with this system.

Are there any historical analogs for what the models are showing? The only significant April snowfall I'm aware of for the Portland area is 4/1/1936.
