48/33 today. Tr. Snow 0.09” melted snow/rain and 1.73” of precip this month. Pretty decent looking cell kinda drifting this way we will see what happens 42 currently.

Radar show some fairly heavy precip here, nope, just tiny flakes of snow.

I mowed in the snow at the golf course back in the day…It wasn’t sticking but man it was cold running the fairway mower without even a coat…But I was in my early 20’s and dumb.

Good luck, just spent the last 2+ hours under good precip and only a mix up here, but the air mass has moderated some as well.

finally getting some snow. decent convective shower too  and interesting microscale ULL pivoting through

SLE was on the edge of that band and picked up 0.27” of precip In about 45 mins. Down to 32.7 with light snow, per radar the ridge right behind us is getting nuked.

Satellite loop is pretty interesting today.   The trough is right over us so the clouds and precip are just meandering.    The area from Seattle north to Bellingham and eastward looks like little mini volcanoes exploding all over the place as showers pop up and then fade.    You can also see a large convergence zone or deformation setting up shop now from the coast towards Mt. Rainier.

Record low at Hillsboro this morning. McMinnville and Salem were both one degree above their daily records.

Every time you post a great Timelapse I tell myself tomorrow is the day I put my last nest camera on top of the roof….and tomorrow is that day!!

It's been tough to pick out lowland locations with snow on the ground in the satellites because of how quickly it melts before we get totally clear skies. Interesting the band that hit Nanoose Bay on the 10th shows up clearly on the 11th when it was totally clear. Most of the snow is at the higher elevations but in just that one spot it reaches the Strait of Georgia.

That last shower was just rain…but we’re down to 39 now and clearing out. Some showers up north and northeast of here but shower activity is decreasing overall.

Sitting at 36 under this chunky shower that’s like 1/3 hail 1/3 snow 1/3 rain

So far this band has been pretty light up here. Probably losing its juice as the daytime heating fades. Down to 32 with light snow and a chorus of frogs singing.

got about 1/2" of snow in the last couple hours, really neat feature spinning overhead tonight.  some parts of southern Spokane county approaching 4".  looks like more bands will pivot through before its done

Quite interesting seismic activity at the very nearby Edgecumbe volcano in SE AK. If it erupts it has the capacity to produce climate impacts, particularly in the northern hemisphere.

I woke up to widespread frost on Wednesday morning and light snow falling this morning.  Hard to ask for much more in mid April.  This is the first time I ever seen slow falling light snow in mid April.  SEA continues to put on an amazing show of below normal temps with their -9 departure today.

You can tell those volcanoes have a tendency to explode just by looking at the pic of those two calderas.

The models continue to show substantial clearing both Friday and Saturday nights.  That should give us some nice min temps.

Tonight will clear out brilliantly as well. Ironically KSEA is under a very isolated shower, so they're temporarily not cooling well, but temps there will crash hard soon once those dying showers finally drift west.

Ended up having another 1.5” fall with the shower this evening. Starting to clear out now and down to 30. Would be interesting to see how cold we could get  if it really cleared out with solid snow cover.
