My April record low is 28.8F from April 10, 2010 and I find it hard to imagine I'll end up hitting that in the next couple days, but if gradients relax and the skies stay clear it's possible. In the last 10 years I've had 7 April freezes and I haven't had one yet (although today's 32.1F was about as close as it gets) so hopefully I'll pick up a couple.

I think the NAM may be overmixing things tomorrow night, but who knows, maybe it does stay around 40°F under thick clouds near the airport. I would expect lows to be somewhere in the middle between the GFS and NAM, around 35°F or so.

We did experience some 51 degree snowish precip today, little flakes and then like miniature little snow/gruapel balls that sounded like bullets hitting the truck while driving, was not hail.

This current forum is a continuation of an older forum 'americanwx' where the 'longtimers' used to post. Fred's been working on archiving the posts from over there and consolidating them here.

That was the first national weather event I remember following and probably the first weather event I ever stayed up most of the night to watch. I was glued to the Weather Channel as it made landfall. Honestly the pure chaos of it was probably what first got me interested in weather.

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that SW WA up to Toledo just had a widespread 4-7" snowstorm on April 11. Kids got a snow day on the first day back from Spring Break. With snowcover extending into tomorrow!
