This band has some juice to it. Accumulating snowfall just east of federal way.

So weird to see the snow/mixed precipitation throughout the week in mid April while January struggles to yield anything.   Just crazy

Snowing good now with quarter size flakes

The snow action has all been well to my south on this one. Still, interesting to watch from afar.

Can’t win ’em all. I really cleaned up in the snowfall department in late December and early January. (And the extreme cold department, too.)

It's called clown range for a reason.

Friends in Wenatchee said they had snow yesterday that melted by noon. Then they woke up this morning with 8'' new snow. The kiddos are thrilled.

Pretty amazing. Prior to this year, Wenatchee's airport had recorded a whopping 0.1" of snow before in the month of April. Their previous latest significant snowstorm of record occurred in the 2nd week of March, a full month earlier. Very historic snow event there.

Also, the high of 38 at Yakima yesterday was a new monthly record low max. And the previous daily record low max for April 13 had been 52, so they broke it by 14 degrees.

That’s incredible. This is going to be the first time silver falls has recorded 4 straight sub 40 highs in April, and they have a chance to stretch it to 5 today. I hit 36 Tuesday, but the traffic cam at the park never got above 34, if the park station didn’t get above 34 it would tie the monthly min max.

Yeah 30's in April is cold for highs no matter where you are. The coldest I remember was 39 on 4/4/2012 in Klamath Falls, and I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a sub-40 in mid Spring since then. It's gotten close a few times.

So nice that the SEA radar is down again while there is lowland snow in April... just lovely!

We got a decent coating here.   Pretty surreal right now with the strong April sun shining through the clouds and big snowflakes still falling.

Rates are *everything*. Even summer solstice sun angles wouldn’t stand a chance if it’s snowing hard enough.
