Offshore flow is apparent in the Chehalis Gap now as well, looked like some good precip about to hit here and it's eaten up.

Your sensor may be overexposed... Every single other station in Springfield recorded a high between 45-48

Looks like EUG had a high of 47, which beat the record MIN/MAX of 48 set in 1972

PDX also had a high of 47 which beat the record MIN/MAX of 48 set in 1955

Here are max temperatures since midnight this morning. It would be a pretty safe bet to say no location in either western WA or OR reached 50°F.

We're potentially looking at three consecutive days with measurable snowfall at PDX. Not quite June 2021 levels of unprecedented, but it seems safe to say we're in pretty uncharted territory here, even going back to the 19th century.

They’ve probably had three consecutive days of snowfall before but definitely not in April

Already down to 36 here tonight.  I think one of the most impressive things about the last several days is the temps have been in the upper 30s to low 40s before dark each day.  Then of course the snow covered mountains that look like more like December than April.  Very impressive cold snap to say the least.

Pretty insane.  I'm not as bummed about not getting much snow here as I thought I'd be, because it still feels very much like winter.  At least we have gotten some wet snow, hail, and graupel at times.

All in all I'm pretty stoked about the prospects for the next year as far as being able to get into cold patterns at times.

Reminds me a little of "Lol the GFS is showing 118F in Portland! This model is useless, there's no way that'll actually happen". On a side note, June 2021 actually spit out insane heat solutions for all over the western part of the continent before settling on the PNW. Remember one GFS run showing 107F in Alaska and one showing near 130F in the Central Valley.

I just noticed a fun fact for SEA today.  Their low of 36 was set at 2:32PM, and that was within three days of the record low set in 1968.

I was gonna post the same. It's definitely a rain/snow mix. If this heavy shower can keep going maybe we'll see some real flakes.

Its 33F even at under 300 ft on 26 in the eastern end of the coast range. Snow is falling and accumulating.

However it is still 36-37F just 4-6 miles east at the same elevation from Forest Grove, North Plains and Hillsboro. A bigger than normal temperature gradient between these locations.

Down to 34 and mostly clear now.  I've been waiting to finally get some clearing at night with this pattern.  In some respects I consider this more impressive than April 2008 and 2011 cold snaps.

Hanging onto the clouds here. This cold snap has been a bit disappointing in some regards, with clouds shrouding the cooling potential at night, only to be mixed away during the peak heating hours of the day. Much of that is normal meteorology of course, but still, disappointing. Under the clouds SeaTac has flatlined at 36°F so far tonight, same at my location.
