After what’s transpired earlier, good.

Agreed!   Lots of small towns in the agriculture breadbasket of WA felt Andrew's unprovoked wrath.

No idea where that came from.  😀

57/33 Federal away although I was down in PDX where it was beautiful as well.  Happy Easter all and heading to store first thing in morning to get a half price hollow chocolate bunny to chew on…..gotta love cheap tasting chocolate…..lol

Definitely tough.   My mom is good still... but my dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons and the symptoms mimic dementia and alzheimers and he is in a memory care facility now.    I think my mom is ready to go wherever she can be with him and have skilled medical care available.

Uh, 4 of the last 5 days were in the 80s here and we fell just short of 90°F last Wednesday. Not to mention soils are the driest they’ve been since 2012 for this date..mowers are kicking up large clouds of dust.

Cool/wet weather is absolutely needed here.

Check out Phoenix.

Anyone else having a ham sandwich snack tonight?   Easter is my second favorite leftover meal after Thanksgiving.

And don't forget to file your taxes... for all those like me who delay to the last minute to pay up!

Warm Beach Senior Community! All stages from independent living to assisted living to nursing! It’s a wonderful place.

I think we have been there... years ago.  We are looking at Issaquah.   Lots of medical services and close to us.

Tomorrow morning will be quite a bit warmer than recent mornings. 54 here currently.

Yeah... mild night out there.  But the trough coming in is pretty impressively cold for almost late April.

The 00Z ECMWF is cold enough to flirt with some lowland snow... and increased the snowfall with this system for the Oregon Cascades from the 12Z run.

Quite remarkably the models show another impressive surge of chilly air entering the region late tomorrow afternoon with temps once again falling to near 40 before sunset.  Possible freezing low temps again Tuesday night as well.

Steady rain for parts of the Puget Sound on Monday.  This will change to showers in the nighttime hours. Showers and sunbreaks continue Tuesday but with a slight risk of a thunderstorm in certain areas,  most likely the foothills. Tuesday evening a brief ridge of high pressure provides a dry break through the night into Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon another cool trough brings back the rain showers, breezy wind, and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s which decrease by Friday. Llingering showers Friday before the next frontal system will create a cloudier weekend with increasing rain.  That is your long range forecast.  Up next, boy gets finger stuck in pencil sharpener.

Got up early Easter Sunday to head to Gearhart for some razor clamming for our family get together.

I can't believe how much snow was on HWY 26 over Sunset Summit. I'm not talking about leftover roadside berms, but actual, widespread snowpack in areas above 1k'.

What month is this?

(Limits in 30 minutes and they are so tasty when fresh!)

Almost makes you wonder where Joshua’s been recently 😱 I know the drought problem isn’t solved but you’d figure you have to be happy about the last couple weeks.

I’m here. Only visited once before today in the last week or so. Thankful for the cool and wet April. Still below normal for the year. If we can have cool and handily wet months through June, I will be content. Almost.

That is right next door at the Warm Beach camp and conference center but yeah it’s amazing!! The camp employees and volunteers would start working on the lights in late September to have it ready by the end of November.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Looks like a winter weather advisory is up for 10-15" of snow in the Oregon Cascades today.

Currently 44 and cloudy after a low of 39.

10.3% sales tax here…

Yeah... That is a bummer too. I remember my uncle moved to Washington in large part because of the no state income tax, and then he and his wife would bring their truck when they came to visit and load up on everything. They always bought their big ticket items in Oregon too.

Oregon on the other hand has no sales tax. Though the legislature has recently snuck through some gross receipts taxes on businesses with over a certain amount of revenue per year, so if you believe that gets passed on to consumers it's LIKE a sales tax.

For the record... I did not bring up the stunting from the cold.  Meatyorologist did.   I just like to see the full leaf out and the cold is delaying it.
