Oregon drops to #7 in the AP poll. Fair.

Not as severe as Washington’s drop was…From #2 at the end of last season to unranked to kick things off this year! Has that ever even happened before?

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

First to play in the championship game under the current format and be unranked to start the next season. Not surprising given how the team was dismantled.

Yes they don’t have much talent. I got them

starting 5-0 and going 7-5.

I watched game 6 of the 1992

world series last night. I’d watch that game 10 times before I’d watch a World Series game in 2024.

They aren't devoid of talent. They are young and inexperienced at key positions. They'll go to some low level bowl. I don't think any of the new B1G teams will make it through the season without at least 2-3 losses. USC may be the best of the bunch. Their defense is much improved. They've always had a good offense under Lincoln Riley. Oregon may be the most overrated. Only beating Idaho by 10 points at Autzen should have fans very concerned. UCLA 6-6 UW 7-5 UO 8-4 USC 10-2

I am not sure Oregon is overrated at this point it's almost impossible to know. Going into this season I figured their floor was 10-2 their ceiling was 11-1.

I'll reserve further comment until either after a Boise State loss or wins over BSU and Oregon St. The play of the offensive line was very concerning.

Best case scenario is the lackluster performance lights a fire under them and they come out ready to go and look great against a Boise State team that will be competing for a spot in the playoff.

Fair enough, they say that a team improves the most between their 1st game and their 2nd game. We'll learn a lot in the BSU game. Too bad it's on Peacock. I won't pay for it. I was hoping to watch it. It should be a fun matchup.

Dillon Gabriel puts up stats but can’t avoid pressure to save his life. And Dan Lanning is by far the worst coach in college football. Absolutely hate that guy.

BSU is for real. I wouldn't schedule those guys. Nobody in the B1G is scary, except maybe tOSU. USC may be a dark horse. Michigan got humiliated today at home. Iowa lost. PSU struggled with Bowling Green. Washington is in rebuilding mode. The SEC is the best conference through week 2.

You love him!  You were so proud he turned down Alabama.   Oregon looks beatable this year despite you spending all off-season telling us their recruiting class would make the Quacks the greatest football team ever assembled.   Their opponents should just forfeit and beg for mercy.    😀

He was a lot better at Oregon than he was at Auburn. He grew up and cut down on the turnovers. I think he'll be a good player for Denver.

There's the second worst coach, and then a huge gap of additional badness, and then Dan Lanning.

Yeah, Oregon has no excuse for finishing worse than 10-2 this year and really they should be 11-1 if they even had an average coach.

He's like Rick Neuheisel at Colorado. Bill McCartney left the cupboard full at Colorado. Rick could never do better than 10-2 with an absolutely loaded roster.

He's like Rick Neuheisel at Colorado. Bill McCartney left the cupboard full at Colorado. Rick could never do better than 10-2 with an absolutely loaded roster.

Any coach who uses UW as a stepping stone is forever on the most hated list. Neuheisel, Sark and Deboer.

I thought Sark got fired for being drunk.

Rick left because of a gambling scandal. Sark made UW respectable again and left to USC. Defraud is the worst of the bunch. People think he met with Alabama officials leading up to the title game. He's a grifter at best.

I was thinking it was Rick who lied about interviewing for another job but maybe that was Sark.

I think Neuheisel interviewed with the 49ers in early 2003. He denied it initially. Later on he admitted to it. He was gone before the start of the 2003 season, because of an illegal NCAA basketball tournament pool.
