One of the best receivers in the league and yet after a decade with the Seahawks still gets little recognition.

One improvement that really stood out to me was the tackling. There were very few missed tackles and we seemed to be in positions to run downhill into every play. Big improvement from the weak arm tackles of recent years past.

Jenkins seems like a notable addition. He was flying around everywhere. Dodson also looks like good potential. Witherspoon continues to impress. I read a story about how he told Mike that a new defensive scheme wouldn't work. Mike disagreed. They ran the play at walkthroughs and Witherspoon ended up being right. Mike said he heard some crap about it and laughed. Point being - Witherspoon seems like a very smart, instinctual player. Not to mention Woolen and Love.

Ultimately, it's still early, but I think we have some real play makers this year and a very smart defensive scheme mind as HC. Pair that with the smashmouth football Mike is instilling and I start getting a LOB era feel of this defense.

Here's the article that talks about the Witherspoon story. Pretty good read to get a feel for how Macdonald wants to run this team.

Loved seeing Lynch on the sideline today showing support for the new staff!!

Not sure if McDonald enjoyed Lynch’s shoulder massage though.

Between geriatric Rodgers and their defense that looked like last years Seahawks…They stink.

At least Rodgers made it through week 1 without getting hurt. That's gotta be considered a win. The Niners are a top 3 NFC team, so no shame in losing to them. After week one I think it's pretty clear the Lions and Niners are the class of the NFC north and West. The NFC south is pretty craptastic, but right now I'd have to pick the Bucs. In the NFC East we are going to have an absolute WAR between the Eagles and Cowboys.

My NFC playoff teams are: Lions, Niners, Bucs, Cowboys, Eagles, Seahawks, and Rams. I'd put Green Bay in there if they can win a couple games while Love is out.

Loves injury probably helps the Seahawks since Green Bay is probably one of the teams they’ll be fighting for a wild card spot. I can see the Seahawks winning anywhere from 7 to 10 games. O line needs to be much better than what we saw Sunday and the defense we saw needs to be for real. A 10 am game at New England will be a good test. Win and I might start to believe. Lose and not so much.

Pete was excellent with getting the team ready for the cross country trek and early starts…Hopefully Mikey will do the same.

The game will actually be at 1 since they will be on eastern time. But they probably will be a bit jet lagged for that anyways.
