Epic collapse, they can still make it though.

Define collapse cause they never really had a big lead, just a great month.

4 games to go, 1 back in the loss column and they own the tiebreaker. Seattle has the worst fans in the country

Also 2 back of Toronto and they finish with the rays. They own the tiebreaker with both so there's still life.

What do you call it then? How many games have they won over the last week when they basically controlled their own destiny? They folded quicker than the Broncos defense in Miami a few days ago. They are cooked. Oh well, hopefully next year will be better.

Going to the M's game tonight, will be cheering loudly. I think they are more likely to get in than not if they win tonight. If Texas clinches on Friday they are going to have some easily winnable games on Saturday and Sunday.

Like everyone else I'm frustrated with the roster and the decisions last offseason but I'm not going to think about that or give up until they are officially eliminated.

Too bad Tim already wrote them off...

That is for the best.   Their ship has already been sunk.

In all seriousness... JP was probably only the guy to save them in that situation.   Feels like the entire team is trying to be a hero in every at bat and that never works.   JP never seems to get flustered.   He is a master at pitch selection and he is so clutch.   Wish what he has could be taught but obviously it can't.   Julio had a historic stretch where he was relaxed and totally locked in but he is back now to swinging himself into the ground in most at bats and trying way too hard.

So crazy.... Mariners could sweep Rangers and still be out.   Or could lose 2 of the next 3 games and be in the playoffs.  All depends on what the Astros do.

Astros win... so Mariners need this win just to hold ground.

Need them to win 2 anyway, was hoping they would lose tonight.

Oh well. They'll win tomorrow, but lose on Sunday. Julio will then walk it off for the division title.

I can't imagine Julio doing much at all with runners in scoring position at this point.   He is cold as ice right now.   A strike out machine.

JP or Cal more likely for a walk off.

Mariners 2-0   Astros 1-1    In and win division

Mariners 2-0   Astros 0-2    In as wild card

Mariners 1- 1  Astros 2-0     Out

Mariners 1-1  Astros  1-1     Out

Mariners 1-1   Astros 0-2    In as wild card

Mariners 0-2   Astros 2-0      Out

Mariners 0-2   Astros 1-1      Out

Mariners 0-2   Astros 0-2      Out

One more note... if the Blue Jays go 0-2 then the Mariners get in at 2-0 regardless of Astros.

Blue Jays aren’t going 0-2. Have you even heard of Bo Bichette?!

OSU easily beats #10 Utah.

Score one for the PAC 2.    Go Beavers!

And WSU might be a top ten team as they beat OSU last week.

The conference formerly known as the Pac 12 might be the best it's ever been. In its final year.

Unfortunately outside of Ohtani the free agent class for hitters is pretty meh. Ohtani is such a good fit here, having Sam Haggerty DH is embarrassing. Not to mention Pollock at the start of the year. I guess Bellinger would be a decent Teo replacement but he won’t come cheap.

I have a feeling we move some arms to improve the offense…likely Logan Gilbert.

RIP Mariners. Seahawks and Kraken couldn't have come at a better time.

M's could do the funniest thing tomorrow and throw the game completely. Start a random fan on the mound. Keep the Astros away from the division 🤪

Oregon takes care of business in Palo Alto and whips Stanford 42-6. Bye week next week before the big Cascade Clash showdown in Seattle in 2 weeks.

Next season that game will move to the end of the season.

There’s no excuses for not being able to spend this off-season. They are 18th in payroll and top 10 in attendance for 2023 + the money they raked in from ASG weekend.

In terms of attendance, they drew more fans than Boston, Baltimore, Texas, TB, Minn, and Milwaukee by a long shot. Outside of Boston, all the teams mentioned above are playing October baseball.
