Well Geno did give us a chance. We should have thrown one more time for a closer FG. Oh well.

We are so screwed on thanksgiving.

Next 4 games... 49ers, Cowboys, 49ers, Eagles.

Probably doesn't matter.   Decent chance of being 6-8 after that stretch.

First time in almost 2 years that I am cheering for Russ.    On the .0001% chance that the Seahawks are fighting for wild card spot with the Vikings.

At least we now know we are better off with Geno over Lock. Watch Russ come out and dominate the Vikings tonight lol

I actually started rooting for him last week for the first time.

GAWD I HATE THE RAMS!!! Have I mentioned that at all yet? We beat the Lions, and the Browns but yet cannot get a win against 90’s boy McVay. Ahhhhhh! I had to do some night yard work to calm down after the game. Driveway is now clean of todays windy day!

I am in acceptance mode now that this season is toast and we won't make the playoffs.   I like our young defensive group and that is a foundation that could give us many good years.   We need to figure out the offense and the QB situation.   CJ Stroud has completely changed the Texans in his rookie year.    Maybe we can get Nix or Penix?

Dobbs with a QB rating of 132 in the first half.

Totally different player on a new team with new coaches and o-line.

Andrew is wrong about him... among many other football things.  I would love to have a QB that is playing like Dobbs.

Wow. What a sh*tty day of football. Both of my teams lose games that they should've won, and what hurts most of all is we lost to Russell freaking Wilson. Ugh.

And the Lions had a miraculous comeback.

Now we know one of their non-confrence opponents for at least the next 5 years. Too bad though next years game is on Sept 14, that's going to feel weird. Still warm out and doesn't have that fall feeling.

Anyone do a wellness check on Andrew?

I was pretty despondent after this game. Pretty much went to bed once it was over. The fact Oregon steamrolled ASU was no salve for this wound. I'll be honest, this one hurt more than Oregon's loss to UW. I wanted this big win so badly for the Beavs. They have such a great hungry fan base and their fans are such great real people.

At the end of the day the team with the better QB won. Oregon State played a great physical game on defense, ran the ball really well, but their QB just is not a playmaker. He is exactly the same guy he was at Clemson, super average, and will absolutely never make the big play to put his team in position to win a game.

Penix looked pretty average too, but when he needed to make a big play, he did. Sometimes that's all it takes. UW lives to die another day.

Oregon has to come out focused and business like against a very defeated OSU team, don't give them any life, just put it to them and don't let up until the game is over. In a rematch with UW I would expect Oregon to be favored by about 6 points. UW will have a fantastic chance of winning, but it's hard to imagine a more motivated team than Oregon would be. I would expect another great game. A final chance for Bo Nix to vault himself over the highly overrated Jayden McDaniels for the Heisman.

Overall, if I were an NFL team, Penix is someone I would definitely pass on. Big arm, but that's about it.

I guess Penix has some of the biggest hands ever measured in college or the NFL.    He also has a cannon of an arm and he is absolutely clutch when the chips are down.   Can't teach any of that.

JaMarcus Russell could throw a football over a mountain range.

I saw that thing about his hands, which is weird because he looks like Jared Goff when it rains.

Didn't help that receivers were dropping passes either.   That first half was a total mess with heavy rain... its pretty rare to have those conditions in an NFL game even in Seattle.

He's fine. It's so hard to tell with college QB's. I thought Marcus Mariota would be a good pro, and he hasn't been. I wasn't sold on Herbert and he's been good, same with Allen, I thought that guy was total garbage coming out of Wyoming, but he's been solid.

Hot take here, but I actually think Caleb Williams is really good... Clearly the most talented QB in the Pac-12 this year. But he had a HORRIBLE coach in Lincoln Riley who has hurt his development, by having him spend the last few years playing hero ball. That schtick isn't going to work in the NFL on some horrible team (Didn't really work in college this year.). If he gets in a good system with a good coach and is willing to grow in a system built for his strengths he will be fine.

Another note with Penix. People talk about how long Bo Nix has been in college. Penix actually got some playing time in 2018, so this is his 6th year getting game experience at the college level.

Was thinking about Lebron James today. I'm team Michael all the way, but I have to say, Lebron is the greatest ironman in any sport. The strength and athleticism he has been able to maintain is nothing short of remarkable. To me the only thing that rivals his ability this late in his career is Tom Brady, but the way Brady played the position, I think the degree of difficulty with which Lebron is working with, makes his feats more impressive.

I would love to have a real conversation with someone under 30 who just doesn't understand the whole Jordan thing. If you weren't there, you'll never know what you missed. Nothing will ever compare to the aura and mystic Jordan had. We just don't look at athletes like that any more, which is probably better for the athlete in the long run, but the fan experience is a bit less intense. Jordan was a global mega star to the extent that no longer exists, in the same stratosphere as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Ali, and the Beatles. To put it in a more contemporary context. Like, Taylor Swift times infinity.

If the Seahawks and 49ers were switched right now we would be talking about this being a trap game.   And the Seahawks would play down to the competition as they always do... and probably get upset.   But tomorrow the 49ers will win by at least 30 and there will be no suspense or any reason for their fans to get nervous.

It's just the way Pete's Seahawks play.    Never with killer instinct... except for maybe when they had an embarrassment of riches in a talent in 2013 and 2014.  Just enough to get by and see how it goes at the end.   Good enough for a couple games over .500 usually.    And most every game is a nail-biter at the end.

If the Seahawks and 49ers were switched right now we would be talking about this being a trap game.   And the Seahawks would play down to the competition as they always do... and probably get upset.   But tomorrow the 49ers will win by at least 30 and there will be no suspense or any reason for their fans to get nervous.

Big blowout on the way.

Not a single analyst that I have seen are picking the Seahawks to win.
0-4 incoming

6-8 after this 4 game brutal stretch.

You know…It kinda of feels good to have zero expectations for the game today, I really don’t care and won’t be disappointed when they lose. I will still watch of course…Just like I did all through the 1990’s.
It actually makes me feel like I’m in my teens again rooting for a team that everyone knows will lose. I feel great!!! I feeeeel great!
Think I will grab my 90’s boombox out of the garage, scrape the inch of grime off of it, and plug in my Pearl Jam cassette!  It’s going to be a great day!!!

If anyone needs a feel good story about the game today, check out this one from the Seahawks website.

Tarvaris Jackson's kid will be there as a Make-a-Wish kid. 16, visiting the team he barely remembers from 10 years ago and their trip to the Super Bowl after losing his dad 3 years ago. Rooting for a good game for him more than me.

Hallmark Channel has Christmas for 4th of July, Christmas for Halloween, Christmas for Thanksgiving and of course Christmas for Christmas. When they don't have 24/7 Christmas movies they still have one every Friday all year long. It's time for them to make a 4th channel called the Hallmark Christmas Channel with Christmas movies 24/7/365.

Seahawks are 6-4 and 49ers are 7-3.

And the game will look like the 49ers are 10-0 and the Seahawks are 0-10.    The Seahawks might be the worst 6-4 team in history.   They will be 6-8 very soon though which is a little more appropriate.

Humiliation is only a few hours away.

At least the weather is nice!  Nothing worse than getting blown out on a holiday with the entire country watching and its dumping rain and the stadium is full of depressed people in ponchos and soaking wet.
