Richard Mann's air mass analysis

Recommended Posts

I had contact with richard mann and he is letting me take over his air mass analysis of the past.

Nearly half way through our meteorological spring, the colder air masses have stayed further latitudinally southward than they should be during this phase of annual seasonal cycle. This had brought us record snow for some areas in April after months of anomalously dry air masses caused drought conditions. All of this is a result of the gradual warming of the overall global air mass, which brings a stronger jet and more actively enhanced air flow.

Some latitudinal progression northward of the colder air mass is expected this week, but the air mass will continue wet over much of the northwest and the longitudinal progress will be slow. Further south the drier air masses will continue to enhance the drought conditions.

From a central U.S. longitudinal look, the latitudinal collision of colder and warmer air masses will cause severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the next few days and periodically over the next few weeks. While not at all unusual, this is expected to be more dynamic and dangerous each year as the overall global air mass warms due to human caused climate evolution.

I stumbled on this. It's from 2020 but there couldn't have been too many Richard Mann's from Paradise.

Weird.  It sure doesn't give many details.
