Looking like next weekend is going to find a way to be ugly now.

I been staring at the forecast really looking forward to next Saturday and Sunday.  Are you saying the rug pull is about to happen?  Was looking pretty good with temps 65-70.  Dang!

Raining pretty hard here in The Swamp on this beautiful November Day.

Something like the wettest May in 78 years on tap.

I say let's keep it going and go for wettest May in 100 years or whatever it takes to get us absolutely soaked.

Slugs are happy.

Latest AFD from Spokane NWS:

DISCUSSION...

-Strong, Severe Thunderstorms late afternoon and evening Sunday-
-Potential local flooding near Thunderstorms tonight-

Tonight: We have a good setup for Severe Thunderstorm weather in
northeast Oregon, southwest Washington and the southern Idaho
Panhandle. There are signs convection is starting to fire in central
Orgeon now which is anticipated to track northeast. This is
generally a 50 mile radius of the Lewiston, Idaho area. The
includes the Pullman/Moscow palouse areas south to the Blue
Mountains of Washington and Oregon and the Camas Prairie.

Thunderstorms will approach the northeast Oregon around 4 pm PDT
and continue to develop and move northeast. After about 10 pm,
thunderstorms should be waning in the Idaho Panhandle.

Possible hazards/impacts in the affected areas include:
  - Dangerous Lightning
  - Wind gusts nearing 60 mph with possible building damage and
    topling high profile vehicles.
  - Sudden, heavy rain flooding roads and drainages and causing
debris flows in 2021 burn areas.
  - There is an outside chance of a short lived Tornado.

For this afternoon and evening, be on the lookout for darkening
sky and the rumble of thunder. Take shelter and let storms pass
  before resuming outdoor activities.

Not quite as good as a few days ago but still not terrible. At least the operational was an outlier toward the end of the run.

This looks okay but I don't trust it.  It's kind of looked like this after about day six or seven for weeks now and it seems to revert back to cold and rain in the longer range.

My landscape color is definitely still behind. I also lost a few different shrubs most likely on the 3 degree morning in December.

Bet it would have been even colder if it hadn’t clouded or rained all month :(

The coldness was mostly due to very cold troughs digging over us.  A lot of wet springs aren't all that cold.

Yeah...it seems like serious problems with plants getting killed begin once it gets below 10.  Very impressive that you dropped to 3 last winter.

62 with sun breaks out here now... feels humid.    This does help the vegetation finally get that full summer look.

Wow, a low temp of 3? Looking at stations near me we probably dropped to 21/22. HIO went to 19 and PDX only got down to 24.

How much snow did you have during that event? That looks like a lot! During that event I probably had 2.5-3 inches and according to weather stations near me, a low of 21/22 and 1 subfreezing high. I'm happy with that because it could've been a lot worse in that situation.

I wasn’t very good at measuring but probably 25” or so total. We went below freezing on Christmas Day and did not go above again until January 2nd.

Looks like a 64/50 day. A paltry 0.05” of rain. My 5 year old daughter caught us some dinner.
