I just realized today that we have been running a full month behind schedule on temps for many weeks now.  Sustaining that for such a long period in the spring is no easy trick.  The contrast to recent years is especially striking.

Partly cloudy and 45 this morning after a low of 44. Some scattered showers out there. Looks like a pretty long string of dry weather and 70s coming up after tomorrow. Maybe some rain chances again toward the last several days of the month.

Yes, probably a 5 day stretch of low-mid 70s coming up for many places.

Never seen Manito Park, might have to check it out on the way home! I agree wholeheartedly about your take on Eastern WA. West side and east side has some really nice areas but the center area I could do without and today just proved that again for me. Central WA on the other hand is gorgeous where you are and in the Methow.

Its quite large, many different gardens, including a large rose garden, Japanese garden, arboretum, etc.

That is usually the time when it's starts getting nice!    Days have been getting longer for 5 months now and it's still basically like a December morning today.   An extra 8 hours of daylight has not changed much.

The stretch between Spokane and Hermiston is pretty bland... and made worse yesterday by haze and blowing dust.

This might surprise Tim, but I am looking forward to a few days of nice weather. The Scio Lamb and Wool Festival is coming up this weekend along with the Silverton Pet Parade, and we should have great weather for taking the kiddos and their cousins to those events. Then a little more rain next weekend, I don't see it remaining wet into July. We might have some troughing here and there, but I think June/July precip will be near average.

Not cheering. More accepting of it. It's easier to deal with a long dry stretch knowing we just received bountiful rain and there is more on the way. I do hope we see some soaking rains at some point in June because there is almost a 0% chance here of seeing meaningful rain in July/August.

Barely…I started bungeeing the BBQ to the deck railing after that one. We did not have a lot of trees on that 2 acres at the old place, think I would have had more of a clean up if we were living where we are now!

It's kind of interesting to see how quickly the GFS switched from a wet solution to a dry solution. It now shows no rain here for the next 10 days.
