If there is not a set correlation between Oct and the following winter, all things being equal I would still vote "NO" to a snowy October. If for no other reason, than to save the snow for when it counts and can stick around longer. October '89 snowstorm and more recently Oct 12th 2006 come to mind. Neither following January was worth anything in the snow dept. at least for SEMI.
