June 2022 - Summer Begins

SEA has blown past their normal rain for all of June and climbing fast.    Might make a run at the wettest June in history this year (3.90 inches).

I noticed that SEA had a 55/44 rainy day on June 6th last year.

You’ll get plenty too if I had to bet. We picked up 0.86” on 6/13/21 which is the wettest day I’ve recorded for the month of June…also an AR set up. We’re just about to pass it now.

Have only loosely been paying attention but are other spots at 83F or warmer? Feels like summer is briefly here.

It's mostly cloudy but still pretty pleasant. A little muggy but not bad.

Not sure if we will be able to pull off the June daily precip record of 1.75” from 6/1/68. Would have to average over .10” an hour the rest of the day.

I'm not actually at home at the moment and my weather station seems to have gone offline, but all I know is it's been crazy wet so far this month in Skagit. The local stations have between 3" and 3.5" and have already recorded two of the wettest June days on record. I'll probably end up with more days above an inch of rain in June than in any other month this year. This month may end up being twice as wet as any other June I've recorded.

67/57 day here. Pretty big temperature gradient up and down the I-5 corridor this afternoon with the front slowly sagging south. From upper 50s in Bellingham to upper 80s in Medford.

Only about .05” so far today, but the radar looks to be filling in in earnest soon.

Well wasn't that special.... 

.94" in last 3.25 hours. 3 gutters plugged because of all the spruce and fir needles/cones, associated pollen, bird s#$t, etc.

At least in Dec/Jan (when this is normal here), we can look at 300 hour+ eye candy for hope.

Not too unusual to be wet in the first half of June but this is pretty anomalously wet for sure.
