Loved this tweet from Morgan yesterday and wholeheartedly agreed with it. It is what it is.

Currently BFI is 84 while SEA briefly touched 90. We’re talking a 5-6 degrees diff.

Yeah SeaTac is a bad example for the majority of the city on afternoons like this... Except for my specific area, which is running an 89F, since we're sheltered from the sound breezes. Hotttt out there

Are these clouds supposed to reach Western Washington?  Tuesday?

The marine push should be tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I'm betting this has something to do with the ECMWF surface temp projections for SEA being so far off on days like this.

This will be a classic late afternoon / early evening crash.  I love those.

BTW we lucked out here today.  Only 88 which is the same we got to yesterday.  We had an east wind yesterday so we probably overperformed on that one.

What’s with the epidemic of divergent OP runs today? Both GFS and ECMWF look nothing like their respective ensemble means after D6.

I expect some substantial corrections on tonight’s 00z runs.

I love the fact the coming pattern is -PNA / -EPO.  Should be some delightful weather.  The +PNA blips have been short lived this season....at least so far.

We're lucky here.  When the wind is NW the air travels over a pretty long stretch of cold water before it arrives here.

Hmmm 87 now. Was kinda hoping since it’s hot anyways we might as well hit 90 but I don’t think we’re gonna quite make it. Sea breeze was just about as strong today overall as yesterday so that probably helped.

A weather station in Bethany shows that we already are at 94! We hit 96 yesterday according to it so I think 100 is definitely reasonable here, but the station could be overexposed

PDX up to 99 now. They might still make it to 100. Beaverton and Oregon City have already done it.

The models are actually showing some days with below normal 850s and mostly sunny skies coming up.  Might sneak some lows in the 40s in there on some days.  Nice!

88/62 today…it’s definitely warm but didn’t feel super oppressive today. We will see if we can avoid 90 again tomorrow.

Flowers have been happy recently.  We are at 79F.  Yesterday we topped out at 79F-80F.  Today will be the same it seems.  It's actually cooler feeling today with more of a cool breeze blowing in.  It really helps bite the heat.  Got a single fan running for all it's worth too.

Medford got to 103, and 95 in Klamath Falls.

The daily record for Klamath Falls was 98 in 2015. Not likely to match the next 3 records as those were new ones set last year in the big one.

I'm at Barview Jetty right now. Car thermostat says 63. Almost 40 degrees lower out here.

The car thermostat was showing 102 here at one point, I wonder why we were such a warm location in the metro. Usually we are slightly colder than PDX, I hadn't seen an 80 degree day until earlier this week.

Our roses are also now in full bloom mode. These were taken couple days ago.

Im actually just more excited that we still have naturally green grass in late June without having to do any watering 😂

Holy shitt, the NAM verified *13F* too warm on DP's at KSEA. That is an ungodly error. It's not even a boundary situation either, this is a 13F error with the antecedent airmass.
