Like others mentioned earlier the pollen has been really bad the last few days, and this picture really drives the point home…That is not algae, that is concentrated pollen that was blown into shore with this mornings very light NW breeze. Anyway, what a day to play on the lake!! High of 94 low of 59.
Currently partly cloudy and 79.

Ugh I know what you’re talking about. That s**t gets everywhere. When in rains in May the puddles are chalk full of it.

Sitting out on the deck back at home and the temp is plummeting with a breeze that just kicked up. Down 4 degrees in the last 15min to 75.

With this massive temp drop in progress I changed my profile pic again to show an accurate description of the current weather.

I witnessed that today and thought it was dirty water or dead algae or something.  It moved across Possession Sound until it final started hitting the beaches here.  It was very strange, never seen that before.

THE CRASH HAS BEGUN!

Temperature is dropping like a rock.  I reached 88F less than 2hrs ago, the temp has dropped to 75F.  Marine push to the rescue!

You can see on the map the cooler air pushing through based on the temps.  It goes on through the Peninsula, across Whidbey Island, and hitting many northern coastal communities.  The relief is coming.

Screen Shot 2022-06-27 at 5.47.55 PM.png

Compared to my image I took about an hour ago, we see temps continuing to fall and places further south continue to drop.  Clinton, Washington on the southern tip of Whidbey Island dropped 12F from 85 to 73.  Everett dropped from 88F three hours ago, to 73F now.  Edmonds dropped from 77F to 73F.  It's starting to lower temps around the heat sink of Seattle as well.  Temps are cooling in the Skagit Valley as well.

Cool air from the Chehalis gap is moving in slower and not impacting inland temps as much, but it is happening.  The coastal communities saw the biggest drops over the course of two days.

Yeah even the 8 degree drop over the last couple hours has made it feel significantly better with the SW breeze too.

Let's hope this doesn't pan out, and if it does, it stays aloft.  The other day I said I was monitoring wildfire smoke from Alaska... well now the models show the smoke heading south into the Pacific Northwest.  Quite a drastic change that could, maybe, possibly reach us by the weekend.  Let's hope the smoke doesn't come or stays way far away aloft.  304967137_ScreenShot2022-06-27at6_40_18PM.thumb.png.ada7ef48ffabe0b0fb79a2f8b0599a68.png
