No.

I have seen that station randomly show a temp of 32 for a minutes even in the middle of a warm afternoon.   Almost like it rebooting or something.

Was wondering. Figured it was an error.

I added to my post.   High that day was 88.   The low was almost certainly in the 60s.

Clouds have been very stubborn here in South Everett today. Watched the Mariners game and it was basically sunny from 2:30pm on but there hasn’t been a single sun break here yet. Hopefully that will change shortly.

Alls it took was for your shirt to come off in public on a sunny day just once and you went straight to the dark side :(

Been browsing that site Tim linked me to all day.

Crazy how much less water was the atmosphere around here back then. Lows regularly in the 50s/60s even in July/August (except very urban stations).

High temps were also much more valuable, on both ends of the spectrum. More frequent sub-80 highs (and 100+ highs as well).

And much, much less rainfall. Especially in Jul/Aug. Almost looks a different climate compared to what it’s become now. 😞

They should come up with a name for this phenomenon and talk about it a lot.

Crazy. I don’t even want to look at where PDX is month to date after those three hot days, but I’m guessing we’ll above average.

Will make ten years since the last below average June there. And that’s with the crookedly warm 1991-2020 averages.

They got those days as well.   Its the perfect days that I am craving... not the 90s.    Its been either 60s or 90s for the most part recently.   And it was so close to us the last 2 days... but so far away.

Enjoyed them the best way possible... but 90s are far from ideal.     I would have loved some of that PDX weather the last 2 days.

Weren't you just bragging all weekend about what a blast you were having on lake Sammamish? How the sun made a refreshing welcome? Hardly seemed like you were miserable. Same goes for when you visit Palm Springs every year when it's in the 90s there.

I have doubts you 'don't like the torching.' Seemed like you were in nirvana while it was pushing 95F.

Stupid post.

We had a blast this weekend and took advantage of the heat... but I would not want that every day.   Not even close.   Screw that.    We can't live on the boat every day.    70s and sun is perfect for most of the days and regular life.

This month will be one of the more dynamic junes I can remember. Very wet and 1.44” of rain in one day on 6/9…3.63” total. Some thunderstorms early in the month as well. Dynamic short lived heatwave with a significant crash following. Won’t end up significantly cold month like April and May but still a june with just slightly below average temps is not bad at all in the 2020s.

The highest it got here was 90.  The other two warm days were upper 80s.

Yes Chris... we can make good use of our 3 or 4 days above 90 degrees each summer and enjoy them on the water AND still prefer sunshine and 70s on the rest of the days.

This weekend was fun and exhausting.   We can't keep up that pace for more than a couple days.   And we sure as hell don't want 95-degree weather to just continue every day.    That would be pure hell.

Pretty simple to understand.

Might also finish June just slightly colder than 2020 which here atleast would make it the coldest since 2012. Managed 3 sub 60 days as well first time we’ve had more than 2 since 2012.

A really nice range of temps this month.  I had a couple of lows of 44 here, which is pretty solid for June.  Above all I'm just glad it has dried out.

Might be some 40s showing up tonight if there's as much clearing as the ECMWF promises.

One more note... we absolutely love going to Palm Springs.   Truly love it there.    And every time we go my wife says that she could never live there.   She loves visiting and its a perfect escape to get sun and warmth... but to live there would not be fun.

Have you ever had fun traveling some place but don't want to move there?

You people seem to struggle with this concept.  😀
