Any degree or two of warming humans cause is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Fewer people die because of climate now than ever before.

It is true there’s natural cycles to things…and I don’t want to get too deep into it but there’s human caused global warming which is not part of the natural cycle…which is the problem that we ought to figure out and change. I’m not on the AOC train there’s definitely some climate alarmists that are over dramatizing things but there is a real problem.

I totally agree.   We should do what we can and not ignore our impact.

Anyways…I’m more than willing to discuss my stance on this in another thread since it could be a long discussion and there’s currently active weather to talk about…don’t want to clog the thread.
Down to 65 here fairly warm evening. Looking forward to a wet and cool start to July personally.

Dude what even are those websites? Do some basic insight into where you get your information man.

Saying "climate change has been hyped" then citing Al Gore's presidential campaign trail and some really sketchy clickbait hubs is just a bad look and very lazy.

Here's what the website is.

https://cei.org/blog/wrong-again-50-years-of-failed-eco-pocalyptic-predictions/

Also, I don't deny climate change is a problem, but fearmongering is not exactly helpful either.

Does that mean we all need to become vegetarians?

Cows are bad news... I know that much.

Just saying... But that site's biggest funders are Scaife and Exxon.

It's nice to see how civil everyone is about this discussion.

Clicking on the 'Teams' page I might as well have read Trump's campaign force. I bet half of them are on a first name basis with Tucker Carlson. Their top three recommended projects are about how Covid response was too extreme, Twitter is too woke, and about the protection of the second amendment. Their top moniker for themselves is an "advocate for freedom."

A minor bias issue? nahhhhh

Since we are off topic.   How about USC and UCLA going to the Big Ten??

Oregon can't stay in the PAC-12 now.    Don't think the Huskies can either.    And what happen to schools like WSU and OSU?      What a mess.

Sorry... They're actually 3rd and 5th, I was looking at something outdated. 1st is "Dunn's foundation for the Advancement of Right Thinking" and 2nd is Donor's Trust. 4th is the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.

Mark Nelsen made a blog post about the weekend, we aren't looking at too much rain in Portland at least: https://fox12weather.wordpress.com/2022/06/30/great-early-summer-weather-pattern-but-cooler-with-shower-chance-for-holiday-weekend/

Sunday is little drier... Monday looks wetter on the 00Z ECMWF.    Only 61 at SEA that day with rain not lifting out until evening.

what's the easiest way to immigrate to Canada?  the company I work for is Canadian based (offices in Toronto and Calgary)

after what's happen with the rogue Koch funded SCOTUS over the past week, this country's best days are behind it.  I'll be 'celebrating' this weekend with an upside down Flag.

Cheers!
