This would be such a blessing from the LORD. And then if it didn't rain the rest of the month I could continue to complain about how July had above average rainfall and was "wet."

Both an artificial light show AND a natural light show?

Point is... Phil likes to pretend the only way we can enjoy summer here is if it's 10-15 degrees colder than normal.   True in DC... not exactly true in western WA.

Yeah that is true. Even the Willamette Valley which peaks about 83-85 is very comfortable with normal temps. Whereas a normal high in much of the central and southern US is still in the 90s.

71 here…don’t think we will crack 76 at this rate north wind off the sound keeping us relatively cool.

77 out here... protected from the north wind.   Just a slight breeze here this afternoon so it feels warmer than the actual temp.

Average weather is fine here (in June). Been close to average this month and no complaints from me.

It’s that early-Jul to early-Sep window that gets very uncomfortable here. I accept that for what it is..I only complain when it extends into October or earlier into June.

The 1991-2020 avg summer high bumped up to 90°F here. And the average low to 73°F. 😭

And 2001-2030 will be much worse because the 2010-2021 average high is already something like 92°F. Blech.

In vegas for the weekend. What’s the move bois

Fall into a K-Hole at a strip club? Marry a hooker? Accidentally eat a whole box of edibles?

Or, the most irresponsible of all options, go gambling at a casino?

SEVERE clear and a low of 50 this morning…was hoping for 40s but maybe next month lol.

Dropped to 44 here.  The thing that really struck me odd this year is there was about a month or so where your location and SEA were consistently getting lower mins than here.  Not sure if that was pattern related or if that brief flip is normal every year.  All I know is the mins are almost always colder here regardless.  We'll have to see if the same thing happens next year in the late April and May period.

Lake Sammamish water temp almost up to 70 now... going to be a fun weekend on the water.

That almost has to be just the top few feet.  It has only made 70 on a handful of days so far.

Ya I give him way too much crap. Doesn’t matter what hotel I just always like to be walking distance to Caesar’s - Bellagio. Usually ended up staying at PH.

Vegas with my wife means Palazzo. Vegas with my brother means Excalibur. All depends what makes you happy.

Unless that lake is *exceptionally* stable/poorly mixed, it is physically impossible for an average air temperature in the 50s to co-exist with water temperatures in the 70s over many weeks/months. Would violate multiple laws of thermodynamics.

If you’re ten feet below the surface of Lake Sammamish it’s probably time to call for help.

We will be swimming and tubing tomorrow!
