My previous account had the highest for years until Fred slashed my number in half. ;) I think that was punishment for sticking up for Dewey back when he was serial posting those David Lynch shorts on the California sub forum.

He’s still going strong!

Amazing how green things still are. I expect we will dry out by the end of the month, but it’s beautiful for now.

I keep giving you positive reactions and padding your lead!

You are also the all time leader and I am not even in the top 5 all time... so my positive reaction rate is increasing by coming in second over the last year.    My positive reactions are far outpacing the negative reactions lately.   At least that is good news.

Lake Keechelus at the top of Snoqualmie Pass was as full as I’ve ever seen it. Not sure how it compares to mid July in other years but it certainly is much prettier when it’s full and not a stump farm. Blewett pass was also quite green. Nice to see.

I was going to mention that last week when we went over the pass.    I can't ever remember it being right up to the freeway in July.    It has to be 100% full still.

Temp down to 71 in North Bend even without the north wind.

It will be interesting to see how much there is in the way of low clouds tomorrow morning.   The last visible images show the coverage is really sparse even on the coast and over the ocean and what is out there is racing to the SE and not moving inland.   I am more used to seeing the SW marine push variety with the clouds solid over the water and roaring into almost Olympia before sunset.

Turning into brown town again here in Seattle. Zero rain, very mild lows, and many, many days in a row above 75F have finally taken their toll on our soil moisture.

I have always wondered if higher dewpoints and mild overnight lows in the summer is actually better for the vegetation than dry air and chilly lows.    Probably offset by warmer days though.

Could be worse though. Grass here atleast isn’t too brown just yet in the shaded areas. Helps that we’ve had 0.35” of rain in the last couple weeks too.

Topped out at 70F 69F today (updated).  It is currently 57F and very windy/breezy.  Like sustained wind and very cool.  Whitecaps in the water, clear skies. Long term forecast warmed up significantly from the predicted low 70s for the week.

Your place is too wet and too cold for a pool. I think I’d rather go to north bend for a pool party. Or lake sammyamich

The kids have been begging me to blow up the pool the last few days, I figured it would take my mind off of my painful mouth getting it ready this evening. That water from my well is a tad…Chilly…Kids will be in for a shock tomorrow when they jump in!

Lake Washington is up to 71 degrees and Lake Sammamish is up to 76. Boating season is finally truly here @TT-SEA!

Where are you tracking these Temps? Lakemonster.com shows 63° for Lake WA and 71° for Sammamish for me. Are those inaccurate? I jumped off the boat in Lake WA tonight and it did feel warmer than 63°.

Buyer beware… He routinely refers to “beautiful blue skies and golden sunshine” with a lot of enthusiasm. May want to do some preference vetting.

That site is totally inaccurate.   Always has been.

I had the pleasure of meeting the great David Lynch back in 2005. He came to speak at UO and as he was walking up the stairs to address part of the crowd, he shook my hand and looked me in the eye and said, “Hi, how are you?” I said “Excellent now. Thank you for coming to see us.”

His work will age very well.

58F in Seaside. Nice to beat the heat. Been beautiful so far. First time I’ve taken a vacation since May of 2021.

I have to stay at home a lot (even before COVID) because of my health so anytime I can have some sort of trip like this it’s an emotional experience. Hard to describe. I hope everyone is doing well tonight.

Glad to hear you are able to get away... sounds lovely.

It’s been wonderful. Yesterday when we arrived, we went to Mo’s and I had a chowder sourdough bowl while watching the best sunset I’ve ever seen. With the green sunlight as it passed from view behind the gigantic blue behemoth of earth.
