It hit 76F as a high today.

The long range forecasts for Everett show no 90s.  It's looks pretty reasonable in the 80s.  So everyone is welcome to cool off over here.  I believe there are some free concerts on the waterfront next week and the farmers market on Wednesday and Sunday on the waterfront too.  Always a cool breeze coming in from there! So stop on by, cool off!  Everett welcomes you.

Friday looks beautiful. Steady westerlies throughout the day will keep temperatures in check, and a marine cloud layer will persist through around noon. Sets up a stellar and mild evening at the ballpark to cheer on the Mariners, which I will be doing with a buddy of mine.

My forecast in Gold bar is going for 5 straight days in the 90's starting Monday, topping at 97 (we're probably going to break 100).

Only 2 out of the 10 days forecast are in the 70's. And today maxed out at 87.

Still time for overriding troughs to suppress height rises and prevent a supermassive heatwave. Had a few of those situations in 2020. Still a warm summer, but not a lot of 90s.

Maybe if everyone turns on their AC and opens the windows, and we run em for a good couple of hours, we'll beat the heat back :)

I see Tiger beat me to it. Let's start the accounting of the burgers!

Tenth day in a row for KLMT to hit 90+, 13 overall for the year. Next several days will do the same.

Before 2021; the longest I ever saw there was 10 in 2014 and 2016.. So much for kold summer 2022.

Storms coming soon, and Columbus OH was in a severe thunderstorm warning I noticed.

Amazing what just a little difference in mileage and proximity to the water does.  I hope you stay cool.

90/58 day here. Mostly sunny and hot in the afternoon. Glad to see the models trend a little more reasonable for next week today. The sun’s already down.

By the time this heatwave passes (which hopefully continues to look less and less impressive) those sun angles will be even lower :) I am pretty sure this will be the worst of the heat this summer. Will probably be due for a warm up in the second half of august but by then the sun angles will start having an impact.

I have the 25k in the living room, and a 20k that's split into 9k/7k for the rooms. So i have a 220 in the master bedroom too

Edit: and yes it was stupidly expensive. Double what I expected. $13k just for some splits...and all the electrical work. It looks very professionally done though.

I just marvel at horrible the GFS is on surface temps for Seattle.  The 18z had SEA hitting 89 today and they only made 84 in reality.  Looking at the maps for the entire region it appears the warm bias is really magnified over Western King County for some reason.  Other places look much closer to reality.  Whatever they did to give the warm bias to the Central Puget Sound they need to fix it.

Ma’ nature has been a sadistic b*tch this decade for sure.

I’d laugh it off as goofus shenanigans but all guidance shows basically the same thing. Tim trash pattern.

Just have an electrician run out and install a 220. It'd set you back a few hundred bucks but it'll be worth it. I feel your pain though. If I didn't have the electrical work done I would've been real mad.

Edit: If you need to cool off, you have a standing invite to stand in front of my heat pumps :)

You know, we do need more (see: any) meetups here. I think it would help remind everyone that there’s real people with real issues and real lives behind these names. @SouthHillFrosty said he’d have us all over when he settled in at his house but he’s obviously flaking on that.

This is now a standing invite for anyone to meet me for a beer at the Local in downtown Renton. Pretty much any day. Just hit me up. Beers on me.
