Lol. Well if it ends up just being delayed by 10 days, how wrong was that prediction from a subseasonal standpoint?

Words can't really describe wrong or not you were.

But numbers can. 94F the high at KSEA, a record for the date.

Not sure about other areas but not much snow though for PDX those winters other than 77-78.

77-78: 7.7"

88-89: 3.2"

99-00: 1.0"

10-11: 1.8"

all of those were snowy in Spokane (between 65-70"), except 99-00, which was slightly below normal at around 41"

I think some places in the Puget Sound and the Willamette Valley had more than a foot of snow with the Feb 1989 blast. Not sure what happened with PDX though.

I wonder if summer will extend its stay for months like winter did this year.   I think Andrew had snow falling in May.

Could be a good analog for September. The other time it snowed in May in Klamath Falls was in 2012.. Warm and dry September followed if I remember.

I didn't mind last year's average September/October combo down there though. Especially after the 2020 crap show.

Klamath Falls hit 100 today! Just 2 shy of a record of 102 in 1928.

This is two consecutive years in a row they have had 100+. I'm curious when that last happened.

I don't know if this was forecasted, but there is a nice crisp, cool breeze blowing in from I assume the NE.  Currently 75 at 9:20pm, but there is a nice chill breeze and it feels lovely after the heat blast today.

According to my station it actually hit 88F today, which was the forecasted temp for today.  Hit it at 6pm.  That is the hottest temp here since the last heat wave in 2021.  Tomorrow (Tue) is forecasted to be 83F with low 80s until Sunday.  So sadly no big cool off. Monday is showing 74F, and then the rest of the 10-day forecast is low 70s.  I'm already looking forward to that.

Yup! Haven’t been there before. I went through central Oregon last September but didn’t check out that area so I’m very excited for it. Gonna go up to ochoco lake and the painted hills area for one day…roll through bend on the way to Paulina peak. Then go to the lava lake/bachelor area for a couple days then finish the trip with a couple nights down near crater lake. Should be an amazing 9 days.

No petting the bears as they wonder through camp looking for leftovers ! Beautiful area

Enjoyed the day up at Sparks Lake today with my dog. Water temp was around 60-65 depending on depth, sat it the water with a few drinks. It was nice to get out of the heat down in town.

Tried to do Sparks a few years back during May! Got run off by swarms of huge mosquitoes 😱

Looks beautiful

Best monsoonal thunderstorm in a few years just moved through. I was out filming near downtown Denver but unfortunately my phone ran out of storage space after a couple videos.

This is what it looked like moving in, probably 3x more intense about 5 min later. Ended up getting .47" in 30 minutes at the house!

What a time for the phone storage to max out…..ugh :(

Cool videos!!!

Storage space has become an issue for me as well.    My wife keeps telling me to delete pictures of clouds from 2 years ago.  😀

Yeah, Puget Sound did well in 88-89.

Downtown Seattle snow totals those winters.

77-78: 0.3"

88-89: 16.1"

99-00: 0.0"

10-11: 6.3"
