EPS and control run clearly showing the ULL lingering offshore still on Tuesday.   But eventually it has to come inland so the EPS and control run will probably be similar to the operational run by the end of the week.

ECMWF shows low 70s on Thursday and Friday which would likely be mid 70s... before warming up to near 80 again on Saturday.

Decent amount of rainfall being shown for out here as well. We could really use it after this weekend's torch. Things have really dried out these last couple of weeks.

Cold Season 2023/24:

Total snowfall: 26"

Highest daily snowfall: 5"

Deepest snow depth: 12"

Coldest daily high: -20ºF

Coldest daily low: -42ºF

Number of subzero days: 5

83 at SEA... now right on pace with yesterday.

91 in North Bend with a dewpoint of 71.     No idea if that dewpoint reading is accurate... but the station up here shows a dewpoint of 68.

the correct term is "yucky", since it is hot + muggy. If its just muggy you can use sticky. 🤓

Much cooler today so far than yesterday.  It's only 73F degrees! Forecast is still claiming it will be warmer than our high of 83F tomorrow.

I live in Everett too and it’s 92 here right now. The cooling effect of the water is real, but a 19 degree difference over a few miles is pretty incredible. Guess it’s a small price to pay to often get two or three times as much snow as downtown Everett thought. 😉

100 must be really rare there. It’s only happened in Seattle seven times and I’d think it would be close to that rare up there on the island.

I was intrigued about 100's around the rest of the state. Here we've only maxed out at 96F (both in July 2009 and June 2021) so probably many places within a mile or so of the Strait and the direct coast have not hit 100 in the last couple years. There are only 13 currently operating stations in the state that aren't Snotel (and thus aren't at extreme elevation) that have yet to hit 100F (out of 154 qualifying stations).

If we look below, of course Rainier Paradise (5,400), First Butte (5,491), Aeneas (5,185'), Stampede Pass (3,800'), and Alder Ridge (4,500') are all at pretty high elevation while the "Quillayute Area" is just a repeat. So that leaves only 6 habitable stations in Washington that have managed to stay below the century mark.

Hot dang!  You are a hot spot!  I am a cold spot.  We are polar opposites in this city, lol.  Since my posting before, my temp has gone up to 75F.

I am looking at all the gauges throughout the city.  Coastal locations are 70s from Mukilteo all the way to Legion Park.  Slightly inland temps go to 80s.  The Downtown Bayside station is 78F as is the downtown Port Gardner station.  The Kiwanis Park station downtown seems to be an outlier, it says 90F.  There is no other station in the city that is in the 90s I can see.  Possiblt it is in a very visible spot to the sun.  Other inland Everett temps to the south are in the mid-80s.

A bit warm today. I cut off the rest of my station so you couldn't tell that we can't figure out how to change the time. Like this forum it is permanently on a winter setting at PST.

Weird day, temp wise. House is staying way cooler today. The low this morning being 4 degrees cooler than yesterday seems to have made a big difference.

We were way off yesterdays pace, then caught up with a quick warm up to 80 around lunch time. Now the temp seems to have stalled out at around 85, back to a  > -3 departure.

12Z EPS... some decent troughing later next week and then back to a generally warm pattern.

There should be a trough in there somewhere. Hard to believe ridging could be that expansive across the country.

My station is on eastern time because I’m too stupid/lazy to fix it.

Same type of temp spread here on the Island.  I'll worry about snow another day.  I'll take this for now.
