Going to be a November to remember!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Perhaps the best thing about it is the torching in the mid-Atlantic region.

Interesting you should say that.  From what I have gathered in my years of research is that general region is on a dead opposite cycle from us.  When we were in our cold January cycle they had some of their warmest ones on record and vice versa.

I agree. I'm feeling the mid November to early December timeframe for a hit this year.

The pattern coming next week just screams it.

Some of the more recent CFS ENSO prognostications have the 3.4 region cooling to about -1.5C by late fall. The mean is now at about -1.0C around that time. Not bad. Current weekly reading is -0.7C.

Yeah... lets see where you would be if this pattern lasted for 90 days!    A week straight of rain in the spring is nothing.   😀

I have a pretty strong feeling its going to be short-lived and we are going back into a warm pattern again later next week and beyond.   Just a hunch.

Fuckk that shitt. I had to wear a goddam gas mask inside the house during that stretch. We had the worst AQI on the planet at like 600 ppm.

Was ash falling from the sky and hitting the surfaces, sounding like snowflakes, accumulating to half an inch thick in some places...

Clippers can a bad deal until we get deeper into the fall and we have had significant rain.

I think so, worst flooding was farther south in the state.

These tropical airmasses are getting legitimately stupid though. Almost a foot of rain here this month. July average over the last decade is now 8”.

A century ago July avg was barely 2”. Not the same climate.

Lol I’m under no illusions, winter is gonna suck here (again).

One of these next few years should be a solid El Niño, though. Hopefully a super Niño. 😈

Those thunderstorms we had about 2 weeks after the fires began were quite robust. We picked up 1.8" in a couple of hours and the end of our road washed out.

At this point I think there is a good bet we see 2-3 more substantial heatwaves in the Willamette Valley with high temps peaking in the 95-100 range. Probably just 2-4 day events with some decent cool downs mixed in, first one looks to start next weekend, 1-2 more probably follow at about 10-14 day intervals.
