06Z GFS shows 90 on Monday and 88 on Tuesday at SEA.   The coolest day is now Thursday before mid 80s next weekend again.     I guess the right answer ended up being to delay that ULL moving inland.

A few wisps of fog on the Narrows this morning. Enough to have the foghorn on the bridge going earlier. House is still at 78 even with all windows open for the last hour. Looking forward to the cooldown.

I got my place down to 74˚F inside with two window fans running full blast all night.

Apparently had a pyrocumulonimbus extending all the way to 40K ft-- late at night as well. Pretty absurd fire behavior to say the least.

Unfortunately they didn't have the extremely wet spring we did up north. Our undergrowth is still pretty green here.

How much snow did your area receive in April? On Mark Nelsen's weather page it seems that was his snowiest month this "winter".

Fire is a natural part of the ecosystem and has been happening for thousands of years. Our plants and trees are designed to burn! It’s healthy and a sign of a good summer

That's interesting, Mark's house had only 9" in December but 15" in April. I guess the extra ~500 ft in December might've played a bigger role.

Also where the heavier precip was focused. Portland area was kind of donut holed. Places around 1000’ around here got way more than 9”.

That stupid ass cutoff low hanging off the coast costs us 2 blissfully cool days.  At least it still drops on Monday and Tuesday, but very disappointing.

This forecast turning into 3" of wet snow in the Portland area was kind of disappointing but at least we didn't just get cold rain. We even managed a subfreezing high which was nice.

It does appear it could be a close call for having extensive low clouds on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I suppose we could get lucky on those days.

You have a way better shot down there than we do it would appear.  Knowing your luck down there it will probably be dry lightning.  Much uncertainty on that aspect right now.

Hillsboro hasn't gone below 19 either (they hit 19 in Nov 2019 and Feb 2022), so it isn't just a PDX thing.

That is even more shocking knowing how well Hillsboro does with cold mins.

Slower timing means next weekend is more reasonable.    80s and sunny sounds lovely.     00Z run was much hotter next weekend.
