I learned the other week that I'll be getting my Wisdom teeth removed. That will be fun!

I had all 4 of mine pulled when I was 17 since they were fairly impacted. Was no biggie at all for me but I was younger heard it’s usually worse if you’re older.

Nothing good ever happens in a 4 hour dentist appointment....you have my sympathies....

Thanks. I had 3 teeth on the watch list for the last two years that were close to cavity status that finally went to repair needed status. I also needed a crown in the same side so I decided to have them do it all at the same time. Not a lot of fun but not as bad as the wisdom teeth removal of 1999. But at least back then the Dr would prescribe lots of fun pain meds so at least there was that. Today I was told to take some Arnica and do a salt water rinse if my mouth becomes painful. Probably for the best.

That exact same process actually did happen off the PNW coast during the lead up to the recent holiday weekend.    It just formed out of nothing in place and was modeled quite well.

Ugh....hopefully it will go better that mine.  Mine were horribly impacted to the point of a couple were turned sideways, so I was knocked completely out.

Right before my surgery I was told a horror story from a friend about still being awake when they started.  I went in for my surgery, and they gave me the night-night juice, I counted from 100 to about 90 before I stopped but I was still aware of what was going on.  I heard one of the techs say "is he ready" and I shouted "I'm AWAKE!  I'm AWAKE!!"  I saw someone grab my IV lead and heard the squeak of a knob, and the next thing I remember is sitting on a bench with a mouthful of gauze laughing my a** off.

They gave me my teeth in a jar, 2 were whole, 2 were in tiny pieces.  Doc said it was one of the toughest extractions he had done, lots of swelling and bruising afterwards.

My wife on the other hand, it was no issue, barely any bleeding or swelling afterwards. Her dentist was also top notch, which probably helped.

The GFS really blew it today.  12z forecast was 93 for SEA today and so far they have only hit 84.  Those GFS surface projections for SEA are TERRIBLE this time of year.

Depends on the day... many times the GFS is actually closer than the ECMWF.    Not today though.

My dentist talked me into getting my last wisdom tooth taken out with just local anesthetic.  I'm still in the process of forgiving him some 2 years later.  Mine probably wasn't quite as bad as yours, but he did take it out in pieces.  It saved me a lot of money, but it was horrible.

I had a feeling the ECMWF was probably on to something when it showed today a degree cooler than yesterday, while the GFS showed several degrees warmer.

My "office" is down in Huntington Beach, and the corporate headquarters is in France, which is where the VPN sometimes runs through.  My location services get rather confused, especially when IT does an update and overrides my preferences.

Back in May when we were rainy and in the 40's with snow at pass levels, my weather icon showed 91.....down in LA LOL!

I don't have any dental horror stories. When I was young and stupid I got my feelings hurt by a hygienist who lectured me about flossing and I didn't go back to the dentist for years. My current dentist is pretty good, had a couple root canals over the past two years and they were like nothing. I did forget to pay the balance insurance didn't cover and he sent me a personal, strange, vaguely threatening letter. But it worked! I dropped a check off that afternoon!

I didn’t go to the dentist for over ten years until this February. Was supposed to get my wisdom teeth removed way back in the day but I chickened out. I feared the worst, but by some miracle it turned out I actually had room for them. Just one tiny pinhole cavity too.

Just got home and my station says it’s 71 currently.
