Wow some of the flooding around here last night was legit. Drove to the grocery store this AM and there was large debris all over the f**king place throughout the drive. And a high water mark on the Westbard bus stop like 4ft off the ground.

Looks like 5-7” of rain fell in a few hours in some places. Worst flooding I’ve seen since 2019. So lucky my location doesn’t flood, though there was a lot of runoff.

Dry and cloudy with a low of 58 here this morning. The next week is looking fairly average to cool, but it appears our next hot spell may be coming into focus in the longer range.

Too bad our lows will be so mild or we could put up some decent departures.

An average June is a crapfest?

It was a very wet June... not even close to normal.

But here is referring to today and his description fits very well.

It was pretty close to average except for that AR which lasted a few days. Other than that it was basically climo.

What has been truly anomalous is the warmth since 2013. Which hopefully has run its course.

In all fairness it was a very wet June. On the other hand down here it hasn’t rained in about two weeks now.

The first 3 weeks were consistently wet. It was more than just the AR. We had rain on 15 of the first 20 days of the month.

I’m looking at averages in W-WA. If it weren’t for that AR, precip totals would have been within 1/2” of average most places.

It was a pretty wet June no doubt about it…but we’ve had just 0.07” of rain since 6/17. Hopefully some more today!

Current temperature here is 55 just south of Bonney Lake.  Surprised by the heavy rain on and off for most of the morning.  We are getting a thorough soaking for sure.  My preference leans this way anyway but I hope it changes for the 4th for people who enjoy drier and warmer.

It looks like it’s actually gonna work out pretty good for tomorrow especially in the evening. No rain here yet but nice to know some heavier precip is working into the lowlands.

Low of 97! Omg…

Pretty sure that's just because the data time is cut off (unless you're joking). Record minimum temperature in Dallas is 87F. I think 97F for a low would set a record outside the desert southwest, but couldn't find good data on that. Death Valley has a record high minimum temperature of 110F from 1918 (although I think that's a bit questionable), but it also didn't drop below 107F on July 12, 2012.

Imagine that. The low in Death Valley on that day was as low as the high Seattle hit last year!
