Oh yeah, there were impressive heatwaves I experienced even though much of the 2010's don't make these lists there. 2016 was overall not a bad summer, but one of my longest August waves occurred that year in mid-August. 2017 had a couple notable ones, with two back to back 99's in early August, and believe it or not the hottest week that year I think happened in the first several days of September. 1 Quote Ashland, KY Weather '21-'22 Winter Snowfall - 16.1" (biggest storm 4.8" March 12th) December: 0.1" January: 9.9" February: 1.3" March: 4.8" Snow days: 10 First freeze: Nov 3rd Other 2022 Stats Thunders: 53 (as of 12/3) Tornado Watches/Warnings: 2 / 0 Severe T'storm Watches/Warnings: 4 / 4 Frequent Lightning: 5 (5/20), (6/13), (7/6), (7/21), 8/1 Hailstorms: 1 (1/2" on 10/12) Max Wind: 50mph (6/13), ~55 (7/6) '22-'23 Winter Snowfall - 0.60" First freeze: Oct 9th Measurable snows: 2 Coldest low: -3 (12/23) Thunders 1/3, 1/12, 3/1, 3/24, Other 2023 Stats Max Wind: 50mph (3/24) Tornado Watches/Warnings: 1 / 0 Severe T'storm Watches/Warnings: 0 / 1 Hailstorms: None yet ------------------------------------------------------- [Klamath Falls, OR 2010 to 2021] https://imgur.com/SuGTijl

Longtimer BLI snowman Posted July 12, 2022 Longtimer Report Share Posted July 12, 2022 July 1906 was pretty insanely hot everywhere. In fact, for Spokane only July 1960, July 1985, and July 2021 have surpassed it since then for average maximum (and by less than a degree each time).
