Just curious to know where these storms are setting up for late next week

Next system is in a lot of ways similar to the first one, except it starts further northwest.

 

 

It's a 2-4" event for N IL, IN right now. 3-5" in southern WI.

It's going to be a cold Tuesday to Friday period, but, wow, the Euro suggests we could hit 70 Sunday through Tuesday.

Dare I hearken back to March of 4 years ago?

If March is coming in roaring, then around here that will only be wind. All we're seeing is clippers every couple of days with temps briefly falling back to normal, no real precip, and then back up to 50 degrees plus.

I keep hearing the Euro has been showing a MAJOR trough around the 10-12th of the month and 2 more after that on its 30 day outlook.

Looks like a couple smaller systems to traverse the area this week and then a warm up to follow next week. Maybe the end of winter but who knows.

Winter ended up being 3.6° above normal with 23.6" of snow. 6.51" of total water this winter, which mostly came in December. 7 days had a temperature at or below zero.
