Hey all, I'm officially new to this forum but I've lurked around here every once in a few days since December 2021 to follow on the snow forecasts, and ever since I just generally lurked to follow the weather while learning things bit by bit.

I was thinking the same thing, and it's definitely true for the warm season overall.
But for April and to a lesser extent May, he should be well aware of how chilly it can be at times. April 2023, April/May 2022...even in 2021 there was a raw high of 50 on this date, and May ran -.6 at SEA.
Mid 60s don't become the norm until mid May. Which, granted, is only 3 weeks away.
Speaking personally, I know I'm just that much more likely to do a 50 piece McNugget and large Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry combo when I don't have a laser-eyed teenager there at the register to judge me.
