It has gotten a bit crazy lately.  Our neighborhood was pretty affordable in 2014.  We bought for 350k.  Most houses are going for 800-1000k now.  Our neighbours are asking 1.1 million.  If we were buying now, we would honestly be looking at a trailer park most likely.

Check out what's been happening in Toronto area, though. Big time drops this year.

No idea if same will come to BC, obviously a very different market.

Been here in WA State since 2001 first in Tacoma, then Lacey now Seattle. And as for the Red-tailed Hawk talk i don't believe that they go through explosive phases where there is more some years than other's. But it does happen with Rough-legged Hawks more Rough-legged Hawks around during La Nina winters and never really about during El Nino years

Honestly it would be cool to travel to various places, but I travel so much for work and to see my kids and it’s exhausting. I dream of the day when I never have to go anywhere. But I hope my wife gets to all the places she wants to see, maybe she can go sooner if I don’t go.

WILDFIRE UPDATE

NEW Known Wildfires started today! 8/23/22

Washington - 15 (14 new fires today.  Not good seeing big increases like that.  Of the many lighting sparked fires in the Blue Mountains from yesterday, a handful still remain. The total number of fires in the state keeps slowly increasing, this is not good.  We are starting to lose control. There are four large fires in the state. The total increases dramatically from 42 to 59.  This is the most amount of wildfires WA has seen so far this year, I believe...) Total: 59

Oregon - 12 (12 new fires in the state. After the rash of new fires yesterday, any number will seem less than 46.  Several new blazes were found in the Blue's today.  Crews got a hold of the blazes  and put dozens out, a handful still remain.  There are four large fires in the state.  The total number of fires explodes from 70 to 47.) Total: 47

Idaho - 13 (13 new fires in the state today. The previous week saw big increases for the Gem State including a large increase yesterday. There are now three large fires in the state.  The Doubletapp Fire has been put out. The total number of fires grows from 55 to 68, the highest for Idaho so far this year.) Total: 68

California - 19 (19 new fires in the state of California. When was the last time you could say California was having a small wildfire season?  The majority of the state is fire free.  It's amazing.  There are four large fires in the state. The total remains at 51 today. ) Total: 51

British Columbia - 55 (55 new blazes in the past 24hrs.  The blazes just continue to spread and grow throughout the province. Several new fires in the Coastal, Kamloops, and Southeast districts.  Crews are making small progress on the fires near Revelstoke, but most in the area remain out of control. There are five large fires in the province. The total amount of fires jumps from 199 to 237, the most so far this year, the province has now officially had over 1,142 wildfires.) Total: 237

Who Has had The Most Amount of Fires (Ranked by days in which they've had the most fires, only counting days we've kept track here.)

1. British Columbia - 30 days with the most wildfires

2. Oregon - 2 days with the most wildfires.

SMOKE UPDATE

For the most part, the entire Pacific Northwest was smoke free today, minus the Rogue Valley in Oregon and a few isolated locations near fires.

Besides the fires in Northern California and it's immediate surrounds, the Golden State was smoke free, though there was pollution buildup along the San Gabriel Mountains and the Central Inland Empire.
