In a way the high dew points last week were a blessing, didn’t dry everything out as much as a classic heatwave would. We had dew on the lawn every morning.

I noticed the same thing. Vegetation seems a lot less dried out than it would usually be after such a long spell of hot weather.

Definitely wouldn’t call Medford and Ashland high desert, they are fairly low and have relatively wet winters compared to places like Bend. Hot summer Mediterranean with pine/oak woodlands and a lot more broadleaf evergreens than most of Oregon down there.

I used to think that area was an ideal climate. But it gets hot as fcuk there these days. They also get regularly hosed on getting snow, despite their elevation. I'm in the camp that Bend has the best climate in Oregon.

IMO, most of the 97 corridor from Lava Butte Pass to California is Oregon's best climate.

Hood River is the best lowland climate in Oregon.

Hood River would be great if not for the crazy winds it gets. 97 corridor would be just about perfect if it got a bit more precip. It's still the best area for thunderstorms, which I love.

74/53 on the day. Turned quite lovely after this mornings dribble crisis!
Ran to the lake to put the big cover on the boat in case we have more liquid that falls from the sky this week…And couldn’t resist wasting some gas and taking a quick boat ride before covering it. So nice and quiet during the week!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

The stretch from Cascade Locks to Hood River I'd definitely agree with. I'd consider living in either city if not for work and logistic issues.

Yeah. LaPine s climate! Bend is a little

to dry for my taste.

Honestly I really like my climate. I wish winters were a little colder and drier and summers a little wetter, but other than that it’s pretty nice.

You get a ton of snow, but also Noah's ark level of rain. I could tolerate that for sure, but it's not for everybody.

Yeah the amount of rain we get is pretty ridiculous. After 11 years I have grown pretty accustomed to it. But it is not uncommon for it to be totally dry in Salem all day, and then when I get home see that it’s rained half an inch or more while I was gone. My wife doesn’t mind the rain, but says she really notices how much more we get. She grew up in Klamath falls too, so one extreme to another!

Parkdale is probably the best climate in Oregon. Shoutout to the Joseph area as well even though they're a little too dry for my tastes.

90s probably return on Sunday and Monday. Even Saturday as well as Tuesday and the week beyond appear generally quite warm, into the 80s daily at KSEA.

The GFS has a slightly warm bias so we can probably shave 2-3 degrees off what it’s showing(for now). Regardless, looks warm early next week.

Someday I’d like to move over to that area. It’s incredibly beautiful and there’s so much to do around there…still planning on going there 5 weeks from today.

The scourge of growing old in one place is remembering a place like Bend 25-30 years ago, or at least how you viewed it then, and then comparing it to today. Imagine how nice Bend was with like 1/3 of the people it has today...

It’s still pretty nice id live there forsure. Even with the population growth there it’s still a lot less than the Seattle area. Do like living here but it’s gotten crazier over the years id like to live somewhere further away from the big cities.

Looks like its totally clear and cool at home... temps are in the low to mid 50s in my area.    Should be a spectacular summer day in the EPSL with sun all day and upper 70s.
