Yeah today was nice, low 70s here. SLE barely hit 80 after a low of 51. Good for a -5 departure. Looks like EUG was a crisp 47 this morning. Then there is PDX which had a low of 61. lol

Tonight should be the cool one for many places.

I'm sure we will spend time with the guys on the team, many of whom are from Latin America. Also Grand Rapids is about 60% white, 21% black, 15% Latino. Seems pretty diverse.

I thought the goal was supposed to be for a color blind society.  At least that's what the left used to say.

Yeah... not going to be very diverse there either.  Not much you can do about it.   Should I not spend time in Issaquah and Minnesota?   We also go to Hawaii and Charleston and Florida and California and all are very diverse places.   So is the Seattle area.   Bringing up race is such a cheap way to troll.  Should be way below you.

I think he's just yanking your chain. There was only 1 photo of the people that went there. Kind of an anecdotal, situational thing.

Reminds me of when I was getting lots of Fall pictures in the area I used to live in, it gave the appearance they had more trees than anyone thought. I just chose nice streets to get the pictures.

There was a common theme I noticed when eastern Oregon/Washington randomly came up in a conversation, that more of the northwest's racists live there, yet they've had a growing number of hispanics for decades. Those who jokes about Hillsboro's name (morphed with burrito) should look up Yakima's demographics on wikipedia. 🧐

I agree. 100% of his posts have a troll component.

I have lived in very white areas my whole life.  It just happened that way.  Interestingly the job I've had for the last year has more minorities than whites though.

Very true.  Overpowering the 4CH has gotten to be quite the challenge this century.  Even this time it took a sustained -4 PNA to just get the extreme NW part of the country cooled off.

It's just interesting because I continue to be impressed with the amazing diversity of our country, and the rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives I continually am blessed to experience. Yet, you continue to exist in exclusively white spaces. Even in a state like Minnesota with a rich immigrant population. And the picture you posted was extremely crowded with people packed in like "sardines."

I suspect you are just joking, but I’m not sure.

Northern Minnesota is very white. He can’t help it that his family lives in that location.

Not my point, there are some individuals that quote unquote are in charge now with control they should not have and it was almost flexed by an offended individual but you stepped in first.  Personally, I do not have issue with you, you do good most of the time.  But honestly, I didn't see anything wrong with a very clear and well thought out observation someone had.

I wouldn't call what's coming massive heat.  That cutoff low will bring it back down pretty quickly.

Hardly.

Are you trolling when you say you look forward to a rainy weekend?     We get so few 80-degree weekends each year.    Maybe just a handful.   I enjoy every one of them and glad I won't miss this one.

102 degree weekends...

Well based on the euro verifying through mid month…we would be at 19 +80 days and 11 +85 days. Through mid august of 2021 we were at 33 +80s and 13 +85s. Obviously we blew past the all time +90 record this year at my location but overall we are lagging behind 2021 for “warm days”.  I’m thinking we finish this year with 25 +80s, 11 +85s and 8 +90s.
