18Z EPS keeps Seattle just below 90 on Sunday and Monday.   Probably 91 or 92 at best those days.    But any more 90-degree days moves us up in the rankings and closer to the 2015 record.

Decided to leave the AC off for the duration of the 6 days furnace blast. That was fun! Said enough is enough this time. It’s up!

To the original point. Having spent most of my first summer in a climatologically warmer place than the PNW, and I think Oklahoma would be too hot for many. I bet they don't get dry heat either.

For what its worth, when I lived in K-Falls I never had a dry t'storm in August. They typically happened in the first half of summer only for some reason in that area.

That's good, dry thunderstorms now would probably be very bad for fires.

Unrelated but I don't remember the last warm core thunderstorm we've had, I think September 2019 which produced a nearby tornado and 2 inches of rain in an hour the next day was a cold core setup, not sure though. Maybe we'll see something here next week

Interesting.    We are about an hour east of Bozeman now.   Hoping for at least a little rain to wash the bugs off the windshield.   😀

At this point it is personal. My wife is descended directly from the tribes of Northern California, 99% of whom where exterminated by the European settlement and the on the maternal side the Japanese... and we know what happened there. These kinds of attitudes will lead to the same thing all over again if we let them. When he knowingly flashed the white power sign last night just to assert his dominance then it was war. He can ban me if he wants, but I’m not just going to sit back and take it when he comes after my family!

Where?

Hard to tell how long it will last... radar coverage is bad here.   Really coming down.   Enough that we have slowed down considerably.

We got some warm temps coming to Portland for the next few days.  What I am really looking at is some possible storms on Wednesday.  I just hope this doesn't lead to wildfires.  Fire-wise, things are going pretty good so far. 555188158_ScreenShot2022-08-05at9_19_38PM.thumb.png.4dadc997fe31c17aac86e44c98ee7af9.png2113665282_ScreenShot2022-08-05at9_19_56PM.thumb.png.79a5ff0e946c2c8e0d361081244357f9.png1596511643_ScreenShot2022-08-05at9_20_12PM.thumb.png.97db2d53753f30c78208f9bbb19df8d7.png

I feel bad for people who have joined the forum in the last couple years having absolutely no idea what the forum politics are like. I’ve been here long enough to kinda understand the history now but it must be like “wtf is wrong with these people” for the first couple months. That’s how it was for me anyways 😂

Yeah, same here. But I think the OG’s of this forum like Tim, Andrew, Jim, and Jesse go back to like 2010 or earlier? Countless years to learn how to troll and push each others’ buttons lol. I do find their weather analysis and model posting top notch when they’re not in a trolling mood which makes the forum worth sticking around in through rough stretches like tonight.
