00Z WRF for 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon... looks like the high clouds will be pretty thin by afternoon.   It does look a little thicker in the morning but it thins out as the day goes on.

olr.21.0000.gif

Mesoscales models are showing starting to thin around 10-11am.. then by early evening, we'll see some more clouds rolling back in. There will be a window of sunshine to ramp up the heat.

Seriously, 99º at 11 p.m. in Roseburg?

I think someone must have tucked the sensor in their armpit.

Edit: with "light rain," too.

Interesting. Kind of a diet version of a midwestern heat burst.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

It’s unreasonably warm out there. 79 at SEA currently. I have feeling the low tonight is going to be in the upper 60s 😕

Hasn't been smokey down here. Little bit of haze here and there but fire season has been extremely tame this year. Pretty good chance for cooler and wetter weather early next week as well which should keep things knocked down.

Hope so. Just saw a lot of new fire starts out that way and figured it would only take one taking off to make it a bit smokier. Definitely been better thus far and not approaching the terrible smoke of recent past

Also if we are going to use an AWOS as main station for temps and overall weather conditions shouldn't Seattle's on really be Boeing Field it's a lot more closer than SeaTac and usually much closer to what I see here in Belltown in terms of temps vs those at SeaTac. Like SeaTac is 10+ miles from the City of Seattle vs around 6 miles to Boeing Field (BFI) I don't know I just do like to really go off SeaTac myself and never have and never will. I'll rather even use local personal stations before SeaTac now if I was living say within a 5 miles of SeaTac I'd use it and even yet there could be differences.

Still showing 85 for Troutdale, but the airport down the street is saying 73. I'm pretty sure there is residual heat here vs the airports that isn't surrounded by cement. How much of an impact can it make even though it is really high off the ground?

That's odd

This is what the difference between the two is. Probably the building being the main issue now that I look at it this way.

From my research on weather stations last few days one shouldn't take the data information from the weather station if it's not an AWOS, Rainwise, Davis esp the VP2, the sensors ODOT or WADOT sets up along roads. Definitely any information taken from an Ambient WX Station, AcuRite or any of those lower quality stations should not be taken into note.

I would assume they have to atleast be ODOT approved because all Amazon buildings have these for the yards. I can look at the weather at any building in the world.
