What’s wrong with the sky??

 rising? It’s currently about 8:15 PM in this picture.I am very perplexed by the sky in this picture! I am in Georgia, and live very close to the coast. I am facing east and the sun is setting behind me. There’s also a thunderstorm behind me as well. Why does it look like the sun is rising? It’s currently about 8:15 PM in this picture.

My guess is the darker blues are the shadow of the thunderstorm. Otherwise the entire eastern sky should be brighter or At least that's how it appears after sunsets or sunrises in my area especially under certain conditions like higher atmospheric moisture maybe. Probably anticrepuscular rays.

I’ve seen it do this. It was after a spring storm.  Really interesting.
