January 25-26th Snow Event

Sneaky decent system we got today.  I was expecting no more than a half inch of snow, but I ended up with 2.3 inches.  One little pocket that moved over CR dropped the best snow of the season.  Of course, this happened after dark again so I still haven't really seen snow during daylight this season.

I can tell you right now the low is going to pass south of most models. Pressure falls indicate a track near Chicago.

Milwaukee should stay all snow. Maybe even Racine.

 

This looks like a fail.  Not good mojo like it is for your hometown when you make these optimistic calls.  If we're lucky maybe we get a half inch like the forecast indicates this afternoon, otherwise this has been frustrating.

3.5" on the driveway this morning. Snow was a lot fluffier than I was hoping it would be. About 6-7" on the ground.

Blew around quite a bit. I think my final total was 2.5". Brings my seasonal total to about 31" so far.
I havent measured but I'm thinking there is a solid 6" snowcover atleast. Everything is very white and fresh looking again with a new layer on top.

I'm right under the 0.9" in southern Washington Co and my daughter still found a way to get her Civic stuck in the ONE 30 foot long,12" deep drift on the way to school this morning.

You got into the dry slot too quickly. I wasn't factoring that in. You were close to the bigger totals though.
