Ground Hog Day Blizzard/Snowstorm Part II

a couple of observations: our local NWS said on the overnight discussion that they are siding with the WPC and throwing out the GFS as a northern outlier and going with the Euro and GEFS ensembles which rakes east central Nebraska. Yet when you look at their snowfall map, it looks like the overnight GFS run?! Also when you look at the Des Moines weather discussion it talks about a wide area of 6-12" with areas of 15" possible between Des Moines and Carrol and points northeast of there. Well if you extrapolate backwards according to the path and also what matches with the Hastings WFO, than I think the band of heaviest snow that OAX is showing is also too far north. Lastly, the WPC probs also point to east central Nebraska still being golden. At this point though it's got to be the hi res short term models to go with.
