This pattern change is looking pretty good to happen.  Now less than a week and all models show something that's at least decent.

And Portland is under that heavy rain band at hr 240. The Euro also is cold enough for some snow on the Coast Range Summits as well

Quite smokey here.  Much more than you would think looking at the vis sat pic.  Must be quite shallow.

Western WA gets smack with this that seems to produce 1” of rain in just 6 hours. Still going at the final frame.

Smoke is terrible in Seattle. I had to close windows as I started to get a headache. I live about a mile and a half from Husky stadium. I can't imagine it'll be a pleasant game for those not inebriated.

Good thing the Ducks have a bye this week. Cougars @ Beavers should be ok.

The big pattern change will be underway once the huge game between UCLA @ Oregon kicks off next Saturday. Gotta imagine a lot of fumbles in that one.

Same here. I’ve closed up all the windows this week and have had a hard time breathing at times. I think it finally got to me.

As I've mentioned on here 1971-72 was awesome for the Puget Sound region.  The January snowstorm remains one of my absolute favorites.  A composite of those winters would be pretty solid.
