I was in Kamloops on the weekend. It was pouring most of the way on the drive up Thursday and the drive home yesterday.  It was dry in Kamloops as it normally is but the wind was ripping the whole the time.

What’s freaky is how I went from zilch to over 7" all in the last 10 days of the month (and mostly in the last week). Despite how wet it’s been, there has been no flooding. It’s just been sinking in.

Kuchera would be better in this situation?  Although given this is a LR GFS snow map, I'm not sure "better" is the right word.

Usually yeah, though this far out it 1. Won't make any difference and 2. doesn't really predict conditions well enough to help. Like here it just thinks the snow will be even puffier.1668081600-xvx11p4sDAw.png

What sort of numbers did Bozeman put up in Nov 2014? That was the all-time great for Denver and much of the area for the time period above.

2014 was decent for its longevity. 7 consecutive days with lows below zero peaking with a 9/-12 day on the 12th.

Of course 1955 is in a league of its own for first half of November cold. That one peaked with a -9/-26 day on the 15th.

Definitely a lot more realistic. Still, it’s snow. In early November! Hard to complain about that.

That's what I'm sayin! I would be overjoyed with non-accumulating snow in the lowlands

06z GFS looked a wee bit snowy for Western WA...

Edit: Just noticed the 00z GFS was also incredibly snowy. So I guess the ticket to a great November was just getting me out of the state. Hopefully the same will be said for January!
