Impressive temp gradient in the Willamette Valley. 10F warmer here and on down to Creswell, Cottage Grove, Dexter-Lowell etc than PDX.

Looks like the airport is about 7F warmer so this area in the SE valley is still seeing decent southerly advection.

One thing for sure is when the weather changes this late it can make for some dramatic crashes.

Looks like the high at KSEA today was at midnight or thereabouts at 54/55. It's been a slow drop throughout the day. Currently 46. Feels amazing outside! Took in all my outdoor summer/indoor winter plants today.

18z isn't as wet and has some more ridging. It also shows a Cat 4 hurricane in early November

0.11” so far today. Biggest rainfall since early July though that’s not saying much. Down to 47 too…which is the low so far today. Summer is over.

It feels bloody cold out there.  I've had 0.23" and I also had the 0.13" several days back so it's getting a little bit better here.  Still no green in the lawn at all though.  This may not be an overly wet regime for the Puget Sound region due to shadowing.

Under my first Winter Weather Advisory of the year here! Should see 8-12" of snowfall beginning tomorrow afternoon through Sunday. Mountains surrounding Bozeman could see 24"+.

Before then, we might see another 0.5-0.75" of rainfall tonight into tomorrow morning. This system Is packing some serious moisture!

Midnight low of 55. Now sitting at our low for the day of 47.5, only 1.5 degrees off our the coolest temp so far this month. At 5pm.  .22” rain so far. In honor of the theme for this month, wearing and sharing appropriate sock/feet pics for the occasion.

Didn't quite make it to Bozeman on my road trip this summer.  Really wanted to but it was just too far east.  Dropped south at Butte on our way to West Yellowstone and Jackson Hole.  Someday I want to visit your beautiful city.  Maybe in the winter too to experience all that winter has to offer.
